Why do Brady and Lebron fans care so much that others consider them the goat?

Bill didn't really lead the Browns like everyone thinks. The Browns team he led literally became the ravens the next year, so to say he was the last browns coach to make the playoffs is true, but a bit misleading

So funny how people think Bill could win Super Bowl with any QB. Yet he coached over 100 games without BRADY and has a losing record. And the only year in the last 15 he didn’t make playoffs was the year BRADY was hurt.

No. That wouldn’t prove anything since the Patriots went 9 years between championships during Brady’s prime. It’s pretty damn hard to win a championship no matter who you have.

Then this board is even dumber than I thought. And I already thought it was the dumbest sports board I’ve ever read.

yeah, the Patriots looked terrible those games Brady was suspended and the year before that when he was out for the season and Matt Cassell led them to 11 wins

but i guess maybe Matt Cassell is the GOAT too

That’s stupid. He didn’t decide to have Tomczak as his qb. Or Vinny T.

What’s even dumber is talking about the playoffs. They went 11-5 and missed the playoffs w Cassell. Made the playoffs the following year w a worse record. Made it in 05 w a worse record.

My thing with Brady is that even his pure passing stats are up there with the GOATS. He'd be a top 10 QB all time without superbowl wins, so when you add those in, to me, that's why he is the GOAT. He's thrown for 50 TDs, hes thrown for 5000 yards, he set the TD to INT ration record twice. If he plays one more year he will be number two in career passing yards and likely number one or two in touchdowns, and he will do it with probably 50-60 less picks than Brees.

He did all of this without having a dominant receiver except for Moss who he had for two years.

But I suppose maybe Bill is an offensive genius who is responsible for all of Brady's accomplishments in this sense too.

IDK why this dude bothers so many people. He literally is the poster child for working hard to get what you want. Every argument against him is completely hypothetical. "Well Bill coulda won without him!!!" Well guess what, he didn't. Bill had a losing record until he got Brady. He took an 8-8 team to 5-11 without Brady. Does that mean Bill isn't a great coach? No but it makes it stupid to talk about how he could have done it without Brady. People bring up Cassell but that dudes best season wasn't even with the Pats. He had a tremendous season with the Chiefs and led them to a 10 win season two years later. And it' pretty stupid to down Brady because Cassell took a 16-0 team to 11-5 lmao. If the 07 Pats had went 11-5 and then Cassell took the 08 Pats to 11-5, then yea that would make sense but in the context of what actually happened i dont see how you can hold it against Brady.

Is Brady the most talented player? Hell no, but he's the greatest.

Bill Parcells in 12 seasons with Bill Belicheck(Giants, Patriots, Jets) went 117-73-1, 11 Playoff wins, 3 Super Bowl trips, 2 rings.

Bill Parcells in 8 seasons without Bill Belichick on his Defensive staff 58-68 (.460); 0-3 in playoffs

Which years are you using without bellichek?

I think your numbers may be off.

More to the point, Belicheck wasn’t DC to start Parcells Gmen years. He wasn’t DC in NE In 96.

If a coach didn't actually have a pertinent input on a successful team considering his quarterback, Archie Manning should have had a couple or three of those big arse rings.

I remembered the numbers were really bad so I googled it, that's what I got. I thought I had put defensive staff and not coordinator, because of the '96 season and two with the Giants

They aren’t really bad. He was 32-32 w NE. One year w BB.

34-30 w Boys.

Your arguement would have more validity if Parcells was an offensive coach. But he was a d coordinator.

We can say the same about Belichek. Terrible record without Parcells until he got Brady. 14 games under 500.
