I don't think he ever finished the catch. He was getting hit before landing on the ground and ball is already being pulled down and out.

50% of the time they replay that and come up with some BS, ball moved a quarter turn when we review this in super slow mo, receiver did not have possession, incomplete. Just depends on which team it is that gets the breaks.

Announcers said it didn't matter about his forward progress because it happened so quickly. Which is not a part of the fp rule.

Something, something, football move, complete the process of the catch. The NFL has so mucked up the rules on what a catch is that it is all arbitrary now.

I would think 90% of laterals in football (besides last play of game) are made by defensive players

The rules are so unclear….my POV is it was a catch but 75% of the time the refs overturn it.

They don't have to care - it drives drama and ratings, exactly what they want.
