It was at $80 right after we killed the Iranian general and they bombed one of our bases.

Refining margins are hardly improving. U.S. refiners are down an average ~25% over the past month. They are sick. The oil market is sick. And the demand recovery has seemingly hit a lull. More pain ahead.
Refining margins weren’t great even before COVID. Add to the fact that the biggest margins are in diesel & jet fuel and COVID was a real kick in the nuts

latest oil consumption / production numbers are in
LINK
Production is about in line with last months forecast. Consumption appears to be slowing a bit.
So not good if you're expecting an oil price rebound in the short term.

I bought at 40 a couple months back . Gonna ride it out and see what happens. Interested to see what the dividend does.

With most of the Gulf platforms/rigs shut in for 4 or 5 days due to this hurricane, will that have much of an impact on oil prices?
I'm sure it won't move the needle really for XOM, but was just curious about the overall impact on supply.

CVX has been moving up over the last couple of days.

And just like that, CVX is up ~40% since the October low.

Jan 2023 35 calls looking good right now
Could be picked up for $5 per share not too long ago

I wish I would have dumped more money into Cvx when I did...

Your money sitting idle in XOM and CVX could be used elsewhere on stocks that are gaining now
You understand how backwards this thinking is right?

The VLO and RDS shares I bought in late Oct are up around 60% to date. XOM 30%. It’s all relative. They are producing a product, meanwhile CCL rockets with all their ships in port and nothing to set sail for balance of 2020.

If only we could trade on hindsight, we’d all be rich. While the easy money has been made, I think there is money left to be made with CVX.

Agreed I bought more two days ago

I bought more during the pull back to the 200ma. We should see another pull back and consolidation soon given how far and fast it has moved. I'll probably buy more depending on what that looks like.

I sold my XOM a couple of weeks ago, everyone still holding, you are welcome...
