The S and P set an alltime high like 6 days ago and is down 3% since then.

Still may be a ways to go to get back to reasonable multiples for many companies.

Life ain’t always strippers and burritos.

I’m still in the camp of this year being a sideways market after two consecutive killer years.

Not changing course but will stay in my lane with mostly index etfs.

OP is one of those who posts on each and every red day without fail.

You can literally get a decent sentiment of how the market is doing at any given time based solely on if tigerbacon is posting on MT. If he's posting, it's red. If he's not, it's green.

This whole week basically is red and I haven't posted the last few days. I got my buys in this week and very happy for the discounts

if you're not planning on retiring in the next 5 years, buy buy buy the discounts.

Some of us are. It's a bumpy ride for us right now. Hopefully the turbulence will ease. Every day is a roller coaster right now. But I'm still buying.

Im not quite sure how people define "discounts" after reading this thread.

Does that mean a good price based on historical future earnings or just less than ATH?

Who's got time for that? Besides, what's an historical future earning?

discounts that solid stocks are discounted. AVGO down 5 dollars today is a solid discount and will over time gain greatly

I did not know AVGO was broadcast.
I been watching GS. I thought GS would go up because ex dividend date was this week but GS is going down instead.

AMD at $99 seems like a no brainer.
Forward P/E of 15.96

It was $200 last March

I feel the same way about MRVL at $87 and GOOG at $170

How low can XYZ (formerly SQ) go? Currently at $64

It does well when naz does not. And not so well vice versa. I kind of wish I had more of it right now.

Im in BITO for the dividends. I also got my positions in the 17's so Im good. I also have held it for awhile now and its almost paid for itself

It’s not dividends. You shouldn’t really frame it as such IMO. Can be misleading to people that don’t understand it IMO.
