Can someone explain the insane run and subsequent collapse of space stocks around SPCX IPO??
I can’t make sense of why they would have ran or fell. Totally confused.

Vested shares being sold? Didn’t get over $170.00 today and I believe it’s set to be valued at $65.00 when it’s some falling.

I’m talking about RKLB, ASTS, RDW, FLY, SATS, SATL, etc.

It peaked at $176.52 for the sake of accuracy.

This stock is going to be ridiculously volatile the first month or two of trading.
I'm going to DCA over the next 36 months to just sort of even it all out. This is a generational company and a generational stock. I should have done this with TSLA, but I didn't.

I never understood the crazy valuations of TSLA. But it just seemed to always climb on matter what. I couldn’t talk myself into buying in April 2020 and every time I thought about it in the months following, I was just like “nah as soon as I do, it’ll collapse…” It never did. It just kept going. Not missing out this time. Gonna add to this when I can. Something about Elon that I think investors just believe in. $1k in TSLA at IPO I think is worth around $250k today? Pretty solid investment if you ask me.

I think it's the utter lack of major failures.

And that was back when 3 or 4 point swings were big. Not 20-30 point swings

$176.52 was the high.
Can some of you get your facts straight? This is the money board and not the OT.

I work in quant here in NYC and our inside projections have it reaching 53k-88k by January 2027. Keep in mind that the initial investors that had shares pre IPO cannot sell much at all until 180 days from now barring a few exceptions. There has never been a stock like this before that will create generations of millionaires and billionaires on paper.

This stock is different than the standard IPO, though. Yes, there are some lockouts, but they don't all kick in at the 180-day mark. There are also some braking points built in if the stock surges too much in the first 180 days, and so forth.
Plus, there was a generous allotment for retail for the opening, approximately a 30% reserve, which indicates a heavy retail focus.
In 15 to 20 years, this will be the biggest company in the world.
