This would be a massive blow to US car companies even with high tariffs. Obviously how high could be a question... Could definitely see some near term pressure on all legacy auto makers and Tesla

You mean the American and Japanese auto makers that are selling absolute shite for over $45,000?
I’ve seen quite the few threads asking if they should get the extended warranty. This was never really a thing until recently.
America got used to buying crap cars with planned obsolescence and expensive central computers that crap out on day 731 of a two year warranty.
Ever wonder why transmissions go out so easily? They’ve been around for over 100 years. And we cannot perfect it….unless we really don’t want to.

The Hilux isn't banned, but Toyota does not being it to market believing the Tacoma was a better fit for us customers.
You can import one if it's 25 years or older. Newer ones probably don't meet the safety requirements of modern vehicles

BYD probably should be brought over. They are superior to Tesla and the competition is needed.
