Modern cars are shite. Not saying that Chinese are even better, but if they can get competition, everyone wins. Trump will do one of his "They must be made in the US for them to be sold here" plays imo.

Maybe Trump could mandate that final assembly be done in the US. Just because it is a Chinese brand doesn’t mean it has to be manufactured in Chyna.

Don’t Honda, Toyota, Mercedes, and some other imports have non union assembly plants in Southern states to do final assembly of cars and trucks?

My guess is if he allows it, it will require the cars to be manufactured in the US. That would negate a lot of the price advantage.
