Invested in a number of these stocks earlier in the year and most are down 50%+. Just wondering if the sentiment with you guys is to continue hold, add to positions, or to sell.

I've taken a beating on TMC. Still holding at this price looking for a bottom.

If you follow the Hgraf/Hydrograph thread one of the more knowledgeable posters

Pointed out that China was about to potentially reenact their moratorium on rare earth exports

I think it was stated in early November is when the band goes back into effect

I’m no expert, but that certainly could be a positive for price appreciation, especially if your stocks are down 50%

I hadn’t realized when I wrote above . . . TMC is down another 15% today!

You’re welcome :crying:

Real talk I’m down a good bit on mine too. I continue to hold. The story is the same, and I think the story in rare earths will continue whether Dems take Congress or not. All high beta stocks, especially those related to AI, are getting slammed right now

are yall not trading with stops? I get wanting to stay invested but that’s not good capital management

after -20% or so you have to bail out and try again another time

I’m really interested in when to get into UUUU for the long haul.

Sub $7 if I can get it.

if that was the case then I shoulda bailed on NBIS when I bought at 130 and it dropped to 87. Where would I be if I had done that?

I'm up 325% on HBM, 80% on LAR, 46% on NTR, 89% on SQM.
Rare earths aren't actually rare. You have to examine the political climate and environmental restrictions to understand the likelihood whether a deposit will actually come to fruition. That's why I diversified between US and South American lithium, for an example.

9 out of 10 "rare earth stocks" are just stock promotes guys, no true underlying business prospects but a lot of great presentations, press releases, podcasts, etc. Good luck out there. Buy the index instead..

I wouldn't really put these in the "rare earth stocks" bucket. These are actual mining plays with real businesses.

Some are definitely like that. But some are already operating and in line for exclusive government preferential policies. Others have specific value in their potential business model that’s worth taking a risk on

Sorry, I won’t bother explaining taking risk in the market

I absolutely won't bother explaining risk-adjusted returns and volatility.. it would blow you mind.
