What is the Possibility that Fed announce NO interest rate hikes?

UPDATE- this must be a joke - am I missing out on something - isn’t gasoline high as hell, is there a possibility of a food shortage, what about inflation? As of 4 hours ago: the feds May have done all that they have to, maybe no more interest rate hikes:

4 hours ago - the feds May have done all that they have to cool off market article

I think it is possible before the November elections and we see a stock market boom.

Then after elections- corrections take place

Your thoughts?

I think the political consequences/runaway inflation are the worse of the 2 options. $10 milk is worse than 6% mortgage rates for elections.

It is absolutely a serious post.

The Fed Reserve calls the shots - raise interest rates slowly to hope for an inflation downward trend;

Raise interest rates in big ways to curb inflation in the short term not letting it linger into 2023

Or do nothing and just talk to spin the narrative of the season.

When the Fed Reserve speaks - Wall Street walks and reacts

Doesn't matter, people are fricked either way. Higher inflation or higher interest rates will screw us either way.

We are getting additional rate hikes in June, July, and September at the very least. Fed has been very transparent about this. Yes they waited way too long to do this but they are telling us what’s coming.

None. The only question is by how much.

you thinking is completely the opposite of the obvious. they're losing this one on purpose. If dems win this one, who are they going to blame for the next 2 years? who? they will lose intentionally and then have a boom and sing joe's praises.

Funny how some seem to forget that.

The same people that think they won't raise rates are the same ones that think Friday was the bottom. LOL

We are so far from a bottom. Raising rates, in small increments like we have seen, will never put a stop to these high inflation numbers; it may not run away, but MOST would not be able to afford basic necessities in 3 years (housing, food, transportation, gas, etc). Imagine renters paying another 25-30% a month over what they pay today, every tank of gas costing another $40 every fill up, and $100 not even buying a single bag of groceries.

The only way to curb this is to get interest rates a couple of points above inflation to get it to slowly start to come down back to something manageable, 2-4% / yr.

That is going to take probably 4 rate hikes of .75 this year alone to start and probably 5 next year as well.

Anything less is futile.

0% chance the Fed has the courage to do that.

I said that is what is needed, I agree they don't have the balls to do it so this will make this a very slow and long recovery, unfortunately.
