if growth is steady it seems on these data centers
Anthropic "reported" disappointing growth numbers --> less AI usage --> less demand for data centers
Remember, stocks are forward looking and move on future expectations and performance vs. those expectations

It's also logical to buy when it's at the 200 day moving average, which is $170s.
It just broke through

My question is how can the sell off be so sudden on the AI side if growth is steady
Did you not see the drop at the end of July to $150 and then the bounce back?

For those still invested in NBIS right now. What more could you ask for? Just count your winnings and get out. You have already won, do not get greedy. You have more downside risk than upside at this point
The forward projections for this stock are priced for perfection and now rely on billions of more capex from hyperscalers in a rising rate environment, all dependent upon AI companies having a product that delivers profit - which has yet to be seen.

I’m hoping it bounces back. I’ve bought back shares at $180-190 range. Should have waited.

If you play technicals, watch the 50 week MA. That is at $160. The 50 week line has been either the take off or crash point for this stock since 2018. It’s a great indicator
Dec 2021 it crossed it at $70.
Crashed to $15
Feb 2025 the line was $46 Was resistance. Touched at $50 then retreated back to $18
May 2025 the line was $33. Crossed above and went all the way to $300

Looks like amazon is going to buy decart for $7b.
Posted on 10/17/26 at 4:25 pm to Sabans straw hat
Nbis, nvda, anthropic, spcx, aws etc have all been in talks to buy decart. Anthropic walked away after doing due diligence. Many Nbis investors have been hoping for NBiS to jump in and win this acquisition to help optimize their fullsatck model.
AI software, infrastructure optimization and generative models
Decart builds technology that makes AI models run faster and supports real-time AI-generated video and interactive virtual worlds. Its platform includes DOS, a performance-optimization layer, and models such as Lucy and Oasis.
Decart is interesting because it works on more than just AI applications. It also optimizes the underlying computing stack, helping AI workloads run efficiently on different hardware.
DOS: The infrastructure and performance layer, designed to improve how AI workloads use computing hardware.
Lucy: AI technology for generating or transforming video in real time.
Oasis: A model for generating interactive, simulated environments.
In October 2026, The Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon was in talks to acquire Decart for approximately $7 billion. That is a reported potential transaction, not a confirmed acquisition.

What’s the thinking with this stock after last week… is it time to exit?

Individual choice for individual people.
I always look and ask if I still believe in the thesis. In this case, at a macro level - do I still believe there is a massive shortage of compute and will be for the foreseeable future? Yes
At the micro level - I management executing to plan. In this case easily exceeding plan. Incredible expansion, pricing on LT contracts with 2 year cost recovery (last year we were looking more like 4-5) and short term at almost name your price. Balance sheet a fortress, Palantir partnership etc....
Can we have more pain? Sure. Long term investment - I do not see a negative (or atleast the enhancement of a negative over the past few weeks consistent with the pull back).

Appreciate the response. I’m also encouraged by the downvotes as staying in it for the wild ride is the right place to be now.
I entered way back on page 1 of this thread. Although I’m still up considerably, no matter how many times this happens I always question staying.

Well maybe not…at least I hope not. Just looked at futures and they are all green.

Why did ya say that first part cgrand? Hat was my instinct too. Charts looking like we go lower?

I’ve been anxious about opening too, but so far so good. That can change in a second tho

Overnight futures have seemed to get sold off every market open recently. Fear/greed index showing heavy fear with VIX just below 20 is not ideal, would think VIX would be mid 20s approaching 30 with the activity last week and we aren’t even close. Also, Options expiry was last Friday I believe

C'mon. We've been through this before. Just when it seems like it's bottomed out, it goes lower. Then one day, you wake up and it's going to the moon and an ATH. Remember last November/December?
Even if the Gartner report is correct and 80% of the neoclouds will be gone in 5 years, who are you betting on to be left standing? Generally, when that happens, there is consolidation around the strongest companies in that sector, and Nebius is the strongest Neocloud, because of it's executive team. In the end, the companies still in business are the benefiiciaries of the companies that couldn't stay afloat.
I'm not looking to bail out - I'm in this long term. My shares are long, now, and I'm just going to ride the wave.
I'm saying this because I'm pretty sure you are, too, and I'm just trying to be encouraging...

thank you for the positive vibes LOL.
I did have the feeling the whole tech market was going to collapse not just the neoclouds or AI market. A lot of bad is still under the hood so we will see.
I do think earnings are going to turn it around but until then I have a LOT of exposure

This is one of the ones I plan to hold onto long term. I wish I could just forget about it and look once a year, but I can't...
