i've had regions forever and the bastards dont keep a thumbnail in my account history online of ANY check i've deposited from others or ANY check i wrote.
i have no clue when looking back at records from a few years back who or what the checks were for.
fricking stupid. i'm anal and keep paper records of online deposited checks i do with my phone but my wife will write a check and 2 months later i'm looking back and neither of us can recall what it was for and there's no image associated with that transaction online.
fricking STUPID. i TOOK A PHOTO of the damn things when i deposited them using my phone but somehow regions can't be bothered to store that 2k image file or even OCR the data and share that when analyzing that transaction.
what in the actual frick?
yes i can make an inquiry and they can look it up for me but this should be criminal not to share that info with you when you log into your account and force you to go digging through manilla envelopes in your file cabinet.

Wife had this happen a few months back, she has a business account with Wells Fargo.
They suddenly raised the minimum needed in a checking account from $500 to $2000. If you're ever under the $2k at any point they charge a $15 fee. She routinely would run that account down past $2k previously. I understand wanting to see minimums in checking account for a business, but QUADRUPLIING overnight seems a bit egregious.
Absolutely ridiculous for a ton of small business single proprietors
Huge fee grab attempt by them, we are switching banks for her business acct as a result.

USAA is a pain the arse and not worth it for kids accounts. They allow them to open accounts. They will let them have an online profile. But won’t let the kids view their accounts on their profile. Dumb.

I have Chase Bank and my worst complaint is their travel portal is wonky and slow.

Bank of America charges me a fee if my savings is under $500. I’m not a fan but to lazy to switch my direct deposit and all my auto payments, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo PayPal etc.
I have a checking and savings with Capital One but there are no actual banks around me and there are B of A so I keep them and just transfer the excess money to my HYSA with capital one.

We online bank with BOA.
We used to have an ATM in my town. They shut it down 18 months ago as it was having issues (old).
Now we dont have a physical bank or ATM.
Ive wanted to change banks for years (not having a physical bank bothered me). But my wife is too comfortable with the online banking to make a change.

I loved chase as a bank but switched because they didn’t have a HYSA.
If chase ever created a HYSA with 3% or better I’d switch back in a heart beat if they have a branch close to me.

I’m fighting Capital One to honor their own T&Cs: if bill pay fails, they cover penalty fees up to $100. I used it for my water bill — money was debited but not paid. My water got shut off and I had to pay extra fees.
They say they “reimbursed” me the original bill, but that doesn’t cover penalties. That fight continues. I'm confident, still pending their reply.
Phone wait times are always too long, and when you finally get someone, they’re in SE Asia.
I work in Dump Hole, Africa. Capital One forced me onto a Discover/Pulse debit card that doesn’t work outside the U.S. I had to get another card mailed from home.
The good things w/ Cap One are monthly fees on checking, and no international fees on their credit card.

I bank with Chase and my only complaint is the local branch. It has only one teller, and there's a big table where everyone else sits waiting. There's someone that comes and helps the next person there, but whoever it is asks you out loud what you need and puts your business out there for everyone else to hear.
I've complained enough the manager takes me straight to his office when I go in. If he didn't do that I would change to a different bank.

Bank of America is the absolute worst bank I've ever had an account with. If that was my only option, I'd just bury my money in the yard.

Just like all banks, my bank will raise new loan rates instantly when the Fed raises interest rates while simultaneously amazingly dragging their feet for days to raise interest rates on their high yield savings accounts and other interest bearing offerings to investors.
The reverse is true when the Fed lowers interest rates. The banks trip over themselves in the opposite direction as they frantically hurry to gouge their customers.
Banks are just like gas stations. Just replace the current price of a barrel of oil with the Fed interest rate and you have the exact same greedy arse behavior.

i've had regions forever
Wildly, I am in the process of closing my Regions account now. I have been with them since they were AmSouth as little kid bringing my penny bank to them twice a year and pouring the coins into their machine. They now do nothing beneficial. Case and point my last straw was a couple months ago when I couldn't get a HELOC on a paid property of mine - fully owned primary valued at over $600k - credit score of 830 and they said I didn't qualify because I have too many loans. They said if I paid off my car early it would qualify then - a loan of 0.99%. Just stupid. I go to a local bank and they approve the HELOC on the spot and cash avaialble two weeks later. Also, the local bank has a good yield of 3.99% with funds in the checking account up to $25,000.
Regions is no longer the local bank. They are shite.

About a year ago Bank of America wanted to charge me a fee for getting a cashier’s check. I’ve had a checking/savings with them for over 20 years. Cancelled all of my accounts right then and there.
