seriously?? i dont think i've ever used the app to view charges or statements because i can't see shite on a tiny phone screen. i use it to scan/deposit checks and occasionally to check balances but not for going through my account history.

i'll try this and see if you are correct because this has been a sore spot for years.

what do you do when someone hands you a hand-written check or you get a check from your insurance company? you go to the bank each time? i just scan it, write 'deposited' on the face of it and throw it in my 2026 envelope.

I banked with PNC for a long time, almost 40 years. They used to care about their retail business, but that is long gone. I went in and tried to open a business account, usually something that takes 30 minutes at most. They treated me like shite that I didn't first schedule an appointment through their app to come in and have that discussion, and then told me that there was no way I could open an account that day and needed to schedule an appointment with them to do so. The first appointment that they offered me was two weeks away. Great service for someone that's had an account there since I was 10 years old. I went down the street and walked into an FNB and had a business account set up in about 20 minutes.

A few days later the manager at PNC called and asked if I was still interested in setting up a meeting with her. I did set up a meeting, when I got there she asked about the account that I wanted and I told her that I changed my mind and let her know that I wanted to use to time to close all of my PNC accounts. I just ended up opening a Fidelity cash management account that's taken the place of all my traditional banking for my personal stuff.
