Jeaux, it's not a hard class. Just takes some time. You have to answer MC questions (80) on Wileyplus every week. It's graded for completion not correctness. So if you don't want to use it as a learning tool you can fly through it. A 1000 word discussion post weekly, blending topics from the weeks chapters in APA format with references. A weekly exam that is difficult enough for you to have to read and study the chapters.
Same thing every week so you can develop a routine but that monotony and amount of time gets to be a drag. After week 4 I didn't want to do this shite anymore.

Agreed, the course is not hard just time consuming. The material is interesting, but the instructor does not teach the class. Honestly, it is not a difficult course. You can easily get an A if you devote time to complete the tedious assignments each week.

Does anyone have a pdf for ISDS 705?
Or...how would those that have taken the course suggest to buy the book? What work's best? I think I recall some saying that looking up info by search on pdf was an option but I can't find that post now.

Paul, did you have Williams for MADM 720?

Just saw that Prof. Ambrosio is giving an additional 25 points extra credit to fill out a very simple questionaire(5 questions) regarding your thoughts on the class.

First off huge congrats to everyone graduating!!! Well done!
Locoasabat I did the extra credit last night. IMO that was pretty generous of him to offer. Not sure if I'll need it but I'll take any extra points I can get! It literally takes 30 seconds. He has been a great instructor.

I can see the light! Last week with these to classes and then MKT 701 and ISDS 705 for AP2 and I will be DONE!!! In lieu of the congrats I would love for anyone to share their thoughts about this pairing and the next 7 weeks of my life. I really want to be lazy right now and not read back thru 168 pages of forum that I have already read but don't remember! Laziness is setting in! Can't believe this year has went by so fast!

Congratulations to all the folks graduating this term. Great accomplishment indeed and you all must be proud. Thank you for all the insight and contributions to the board.
GSMBA16, I am taking ISDS 705 with you next term as for MKT 701 with Darrat, the class is not hard.. Just do the postings every week and reply to a classmate posting and that is for the week. In addition there are 4 cases of 4-5 pages, APA standards that are due weekly. Not bad at all. Where it gets interesting is in the 3 tests that come from nothing but the power-points he provides. The questions can be tricky as some can be a stretch from the material provided. try to find a PDF from Philip Kotler's text book on Marketing Management (14ed) and match the points on the power point to the text book learning objectives per the applicable chapter and you should coast to another A.

New guy here. I've registered for my first classes in the Fall AP2 session. I'm signed up for ISDS 705 and BADM 700.
A little about me... I'm old (early 40s). I have an engineering degree and 18 years experience - mainly in the IT world. I've decided to go back now because my job will be a little slower for the next 10-12 months and if I don't go now, I never will. I have learned a ton from this forum. Thanks to all who have participated.
Quick question - does the MBA program have an adviser? Or did you just line out your courses in Excel like a streamlined puzzle? TIA

Hi Jason, welcome to this board and the LSUS MBA program. I am hoping being in your 40's isn't considered "old" anymore! Or that makes me ancient!

Yes, there is a lady, Danielle Voumard who will be your advisor and sort of help you with your classes but you pretty much draft your plan based on the schedule of classes and go from there. BTW, as SOCAL77 stated, I am from the class of 83, so you are definitely not alone.

Danielle Voumard has been great to work with. She's always very responsive if you call or email her. I also know that she's aware of this forum.

Thank you DC213, best of luck in ISDS 705!

When is everyone planning on tackling the Marketing exam? I'm studying now, so I can get it over with in the early part of the week, then focus on the Accounting and Finance exam.
