Seems like every day all of them are dropping quite a bit. Don’t get many alerts that things are going up anymore. Ive taken a beating the past few weeks

Dead? Who knows?

However, it is very clear the market has chosen the winner in crypto and if you fail to recognize this it's a skill/IQ problem.

if you have an expectation of any asset traded on a market to only go up, well...

The South African PayPal Mafia runs this country now.

Elon will defund every regulatory department

David Sacks will make Crypto the national currency

Give it a few months, it'll jump.

But it'll all eventually crash and the US be eating your wild cats to survive.

Nah there will be a new hot meme coin that "jumps 1000% in a few days" for all of you guys to "invest" in soon.

One thing we have learned is that a new idea is always around the corner

Sure - Crypto is far from dead - but I don’t see what fundamental supporting mechanism(s) it has that will translate into long-term staying power. What is its utility that makes it valuable other than the speculation that has run up its price?

The whole crypto-craze just screams like a “new and improved” Tulip-mania to me, as well as a huge ponzi-adjacent scheme to Hoover up and concentrate even more wealth at the top.

It's not as bad as tulips with the major cryptos, as there is some use. The main player is still BTC, but it's value as a product is inverse to its value as an investment. ETH also has some use.

What is going to hurt crypto is if there is economic turmoil again and crypto tracks the normal market. It's supposed to be a hedge against this, but we saw in 2020 it tracked the normal market relatively in kind. If we have another major recession and it crashes with the stock market, I don't see how the "it's a hedge against inflation" talking point can be uttered with any sincerity.

Your lesser coins or memecoins are tulips

Seems to me that as a tradeable asset, the price will be tied to sentiment around how much future money people will have to buy tradeable assets.
