Yeah would not be shocked to see it trade below $9 at some point today. Lunch time dip perhaps.

It’s terrifying to think that even our lithium investments aren’t safe from trump supporters like the Koch brothers

This investment feels a little different. Not only is this a major player but the timing of them coming in to put Shamoo down is awesome.

I'm guessing the Shamoo piece did it's task. Someone made millions on the short, then those who wanted will make millions on rise after the conspired dip.
Hopefully this Round is over.
On to the next Round.

Yes I'd say greater than 50% odds that Blue Orca was working with Koch on this. Koch probably didn't want to buy in at such a high price above $10 when this ripped so hard, so they found a way to get the shares at the price they were comfortable buying in at.
Koch must've been looking at this for months to make that big an investment. So they started to look at it when it was probably sub $6 then watched it go to $12+. Now they get in not too much above what it was trading at when they first looked into it.

I’m glad we have this positive news because I’m afraid I’m about to take it on the chin with my NAKD stock on news of a 10-1 or 20-1 potential reverse split by end of year to get the stock over 5 dollars to comply with the merger of Cenntro
Long term could be a great thing but painful in the short term

It's entirely possible Kock was behind the push for BO to release that attack. There are millions of reasons for Koch to push it secretly. Both BO and Kock can profit from such an exercise, a win/win for both.
In the end SLI get a partner with significant resources and connections in the industry and gives the middle finger to Lanxess and their German stubbornness.

Lol who would invest in that electric car bullshite

Think we see a short squeeze today? Would u imagine the orca stuff is over with?
Would the price koch got in at, be negotiated with the company? wasnt a market trade correct?

Yeah I think today's news is confirmation that the whole Lanxess "JV" is going to look at lot different than we thought. Time to kick the Germans to the curb, good riddance... I hope Lanxess' stock price goes to zero (after Smack sells his Lanxess shares of course, haha).

Today is going up 15%. That is my call.

Overall market looks terrible though. My guess is $9.25 for the close, $9.99 high and $8.75 low.

Lanxess still has some leverage, but that leverage took a big hit with Koch entering the picture. Koch can provide everything Lanxess can, except for the brine. It would not surprise me if the J/V never happens and negotiations have to start over from here. It's even possible Lanxess asked Standard to find alternatives to push the project to completion, it would explain the significant delay to get to this point.

What details are available about the terms and partnership moving forward?

I think it is also very possible that SLI was involved in the Blue Orca article.
As stated, this deal didn’t come out of nowhere. Standard and Koch have likely been involved in price discussions for months. The deal could have stalled when the price ran to $10+ and SLI needed it to come down to execute the sale. So SLI tips off blue orca that there are some funky looking reported “production” numbers and maybe it would be profitable to make that aware to the public.
Insert cost of doing business, gotta get your hands dirty, other relevant idioms about shady business.
