Oil and airlines and Royal Caribbean all up huge today. Would have made a killing had I invested yesterday.

Do you think I missed my chance?

I am assuming once the stimulus bill is announced we are probably looking at a sell-off at this point. No way it satisfies everyone

That’s what “they” want you to think.

I just don't see how we don't have another huge fall day after this gain. Granted, I know little to nothing about stock markets.

shite baws I hope we reached bottom and it's moon from here, but we've had alternating massive gains and massive losses for like 2 weeks now. Are y'all really expecting that trend to have been broken?

ETA: and no. Even if we've already hit "bottom" we are still miles off of ATHs. If you want to get in, get in.

I bought some RCL at $38. Almost back to break even. I'll hold it for year if I need to though. This and DAL were my corona plays.

Man, I’m a newbie at stock investing and trading but damn it’s fun. Probably not as exciting in calmer times...I assume.

Glad I had some cash this go round to play with. Love this board and all the legit discussion.

Kicking myself for not going all in on Royal Carribean at $22 yesterday. It’s already been up to $32 today

It will come back down.

Did you lose some in the day-trading short term? Yes.

Will you lose in the long run if you wait for it to settle back down and then buy-in for the long haul? No.

I expect we're going to see a couple of more sharp upward spikes before we finally hit bottom. Today is more than a dead-cat bounce, but I expect it is just that-a good bounce.

And the day is not over.

Probably not. I'm afraid the unemployment claims report later this week is going to spook some investors. It's going to be brutal.

For example, Louisiana's unemployment claims for last week was 30,000.

The week before was 1,698.

Granted I am some what new to trading but I just don't understand the run up on casino's and places like Dave and Busters? More and more city's are issuing stay at home orders every day, why would anyone think those places are going to be more profitable in the near future?

Considering the Fed basically signaled that rates aren’t ever going to go up again because national debt and that any outcome is acceptable except for deflation...I’d say yes. 17000-18000 is a bedrock bottom.

Some investors are skating to where the puck is going to be not where the puck is now.
