I am up 0.66%. My best ETF is SLY, which is up 6.24% for me (indexed S&P short cap). My biggest loser is VTV (Vanguard Value) at -1.68%. TRBCX had a rough two months but has done well recently.

VWIGX 6.16%
VTSAX 2.77%
AGTHX 6.66%

I don't feel like doing the math, but just eyeballing it, I'm probably up right around 5%.

ETA: All of these accounts are tax sheltered, but not in a 401k.

401k YTD 9%
IRA YTD 2%

I work for Phillips 66 so this latest run has certainly helped my 401k

IRA is set very conservative. Been waiting on that big pullback that never happened

Almost even on YDT returns. (- 0.3%)
401K return is -2.75%
IRA's-return is + 2.6% which is led by the latest run by Fidelity Select Energy Mutual Fund of 10.1%.

The 401K account is almost 100% S & P 500 index stock fund. I moved a large percentage of stable value into it before it dropped but off of the market highs. Expect to continue to catch up quickly.

Given that the Fidelity fund was inthe bucket last year and I did not dump it I am encouraged that I can exceed market averages at the end of the year with my overall portfolio.

Yes, I missed the mark with timing the market on this one and would not recommend that everyone do it. Will I do it again? You bet.

My 401 K has lost money this year.

Mainly mid cap stock.

But of the 12 different areas I contribute, only 4 have gained this year.

Flat ytd.

My “guy” got me 5.4% last year and I’m hit with a 1.25% fee. Tell me why I shouldn’t can him and just go vanguard??? About to pull the plug in my advisor.

3.7%

Decided to take matters into my own hands earlier this year and took about 35% of my 401k and created my own "fund" by mixing a lot of stocks. Obviously ate up a lot of trade fees at the start, but that's ok.
I typically just let it all ride in a target fund. So now it's split.

5.4 last year and flat this year is depressing

I'd definitely can him

Flat this year is not good but acceptable.
5.4% last year is completely unacceptable. That's ridiculous. Do you audit him?
