Gymnastics is kicking butt and drawing terrific crowds. Good for them

I don't follow basketball unless they go deep into the tourney. Doesn't Caldwell make a ton of money? Is she worth what she gets paid?

I have zero interest in softball. Do they draw decent crowds. Are they a good team?

Tennis, Swimming, Golf ?

None. LSU could save a lot of money if they just came to grips with the fact that your everyday joe doesn't give a shite about the women's sports. It's family that care. Sorry.

I like to take my daughter out to the soccer games. Very few dikes and good family atmosphere.

Great responses everyone. Way to show your daughters they don't care and are better off fricking as many football players as they can chase down rather than doing something for themselves and aspiring to be more. Terrific message.

My niece is a true freshman on the track team. She is slowly becoming the team's go-to long distance runners, and set PR's at recent meets at A&M and New Mexico. I am very proud of her, and follow the team closely.

I also watch the softball team when they are on TV, if I am at home.

I pull for all the LSU student athletes.

overreact much? The topic was asking about LSU women's sports, not about women sports, and especially girls youth sports

I watch the Lady Tigers on TV and go to a few softball games. I started going to Volleyball games 2 years ago when I retired.

"I could care less" is such a horrible grammar mistake and makes me cringe every time. So you do care about the girls? ... As for me, I sleep just fine win or lose, but I'd say I pay better attention than most. Track and field is my favorite mid-major. Torina is going to do great things with the softball program.

Living in Arkan-piggy we don't get to see much LSU competition. I took my daughter to see the Tiger gymnasts once and it was a great atmosphere, well worth the time. Got out last year (had nothing else to do ) and caught the first LSU Arky softball game. We were pleasantly surprised, the LSU families that follow their kids were great to talk to and the event was a lot of fun. We ended up back for the whole series.

We've come to appreciate these additional opportunities to support our team!!! I say give it a chance and you'll find your inner Tiger fan come out whether it's football, baseball or softball!!! They all invest their time representing LSU and have earned our support!!! Geaux Tigers!!

If there wasn't for the stupid title 9 requiring women's sports, they wouldn't exist.

Don't you think this is more a National problem rather than an LSU problem? Please enlighten us on the pro-sports featuring women that draws in the most crowds; even the WNBA would be nothing if it weren't subsidized by the NBA.

The fact of the matter is that for 99% of NCAA women athletes, there won't be an athletic career after college because nobody cares about their sports; college IS their plateau. Is it right? No. Is it fair? No.

If you want to empower your daughter, make sure she receives a great education and understands that, sometimes, the Mrs. Degree doesn't pan out and she needs to be independent.
