I pull for all the LSU student athletes.

my level of interest is obviously not like football. But many of these girls are immensely talented and I am glad they represent my Tigers.

plus..the gymnasts have great butts.

Great responses everyone. Way to show your daughters they don't care and are better off fricking as many football players as they can chase down rather than doing something for themselves and aspiring to be more. Terrific message.

Listen here fella I actually do go to soccer, gym, a little wbb, volleyball, and some tennis but let me tell you right now playing a women's sport doesn't keep her from getting railed by the football/baseball team. If anything, it expedites it.

I'm a big fastpitch softball fan. I just really enjoy the strategy and the speed of the game.

Myself included. If anyone is interested in softball, they should get out to watch the freshman pitcher Corbella. She will be one of the best in the nation.

I'm interested in all LSU sports. Of all the women's sports, softball is my favorite.

Gymnastics always draws a great crowd (in fact, their average attendance is probably better than the men's basketball team)

Winning is key . Go back and look at the average attendance of baseball in pre-Berman era. It was REALLY low...like fewer than 1,000. No one "gave a shite" about baseball the same way that lots of people here are saying they "don't give a shite" about women's sports.

That means you do care.

You got the expression wrong. It's "couldn't care less"

zero interest in everything but basketball and I'd put my interest at a 2 out of 10.

I don't really follow them that closely, but I do care, even though I care about them less than men's sports. I want all LSU teams to do well. I've been to soccer and volleyball games, and I've had a good time at both.

Unless you have some care (in which you "could care less" than you do now) the proper phrase is "I couldn't care less"

I really enjoy soccer, softball, and volleyball. I typically go to 2 or 3 games of each of each of those teams. Personally I enjoy those sports more than basketball even (men's and women's). I don't follow any sports nearly as closely as I follow football and baseball, but if there was more of a tailgating scene, I could probably get just about as excited for soccer. I've been sort of following gymnastics too since we're so good this year. It's kind of cool, but I can't get too excited about watching a sport where I need a judge to tell me who's winning.

The LSU softball team outdraws many college baseball teams.

Nation wide there is little to no interest in college baseball.

[Zero....it exists only because of an unfair piece of legislation. They steal from the men's program,, period. The football fans pick up the tab.

The only people I have ever heard express an interest are the families and the alternative lifestyle crowd.]

Ha, lets get rid of every mens sport except football and maybe baseball. I could use a lot more young men roaming the streets with idle time on their hands. What a maroon!!

I couldn't agree more. Plus, women's gymnastics re-defines tough. I have a daughter in advanced gymnastics and my sons participated in wrestling, football, cross country, track, and rugby. The amount of time and intensity of the training for high level gymnastics is a whole level above any other sport that I've seen.

Some of the misogynistic attitude is backlash anger toward title IX, but it's not the girl's fault PC idiots implemented a stupid rule.

ETA: And before any yahoo's berate me for that statement, I suggest you investigate and compare hours of training per week, average intensity, and average danger level during that training before you sound off on this.
