I know the band unis are supposed to be "old gold" but to me they look dingy. I can't compare halftime shows because I went to take a piss but Auburns band looked bigger and sounded louder in the stands.

Auburn did bring it's full band.
Honestly, neither of them were on their game when it came to halftime. Fronts looked terrible, formations that were supposed to be circular looked dented, and both bands rely on spelling entirely too much for their shows...at least last night.
Musically, it's difficult to say when we have a way too loud PA system blaring out rap over both bands. Both sounded "weak" when compared to the PA system decibel level.

I would rather have the 70s

Of course, but if that experience comes along with a 4th rate DJ instead of the school's band, unkempt bathrooms, shitty or non-existent concessions, and the potential for a 90 minute wait to exit campus, do you think people are more likely to make the commitment or less likely?

Traffic has never bothered me at all and I've been going regularly since the 70's. (Yes, traffic was a bitch in the 70's too) You expect it, prepare for it, park in the best spot to get out asap and deal with it. (Park behind the Law School and get on Dalrymple fairly quick after the game)
Concessions is also not a factor. I either eat before the game at home, get fast food on the way or make a few sandwiches for after the game. I can go 4 hours without eating. A bag of peanuts is all I've ever bought or brought into the Coliseum.
I'm in the bathrooms for 3-5 minutes and out. No big deal, regardless of how "Unkept" they are.
The PIM was a Deal Breaker for me though. If it was just a little bit every now and then, I could and did live with it, but it's gotten out of hand and I refuse to put up with it. It's totally insulting to every current and former Tiger Band member. Don't even get me started on the current DJ Abomination.
Doesn't really matter though, because as an Old School Die Hard, I just refuse to sit in Tiger Stadium under those conditions. How did I deal with it? We totally got the hell out of Dodge.
I don't even do Alumni Band anymore because they (LSUAD Idiots) started scheduling it at the end of freezing arse November against Central Connecticut Polytechnic Institute in a 50% empty Tiger Stadium.

You quit going to LSU games because of, checks notes, “piped in music”?
JFC.
I agree some of it sucks, but is it that big of a deal?

I agree with him. The blasted hip hop mumble rap at 200db throughout the game is miserable and ruins the entire experience.

LOL @ the "I hate Piped In music" crowd. Everything we're doing is on brand with what stadiums are now...except the light show. "Rap music offends me" well, get used to it...it's the most popular thing that is listened to. "They should give some of those student sections seats to normal folk" as if there wasn't a loud cry earlier this season when it was found out that the students had to already ration their tickets...you people complain about every goshdarn thing. "Don't forget to fill out your questionnaire about fan experience"...lol, well, maybe your take on the experience isn't shared by the multitude. Tiger Stadium rocks. The experience rocks! Sure, we need to get better food, but we "From From From Louisiana and we call it da boot" so we're always gonna want better food. "Traffic sucks"...when has traffic in Baton Rouge not suck after an LSU football game? Tell me...I wanna know...because I've never seen it not sucky after a game. (Park north of Highland, take Dalryample to Government and you're gonna be shocked how easy it is) oh...and Cool DJ SupaMike is a legend. Put some respect on his name! OVer and Out. Have a great Monday!

What made TS great and cemented its reputation at the top of all things CFB atmosphere were night games and noise. Lots of noise. Natural noise. Rowdy noise. Incessant noise.
It was what every other program longed for. Now having neglected what made TS great, we try to match their brand? Not a well run kindergarten.

The DJ started this season, the stadium being half empty after halftime started way before that. If people didn't want crappy attempts to keep the stadium full, they should have stayed in the previous years.

unkempt bathrooms,
The bathrooms seem better now than they did 10 years ago to me.

shitty or non-existent concessions,
No argument but they are actually better than last year. Still crappy though.

the potential for a 90 minute wait to exit campus
Somehow worse than ever now.

I suspect all of that only serves to reinforce a preexisting inclination to go or not to go.

The biggest problem is the length of the game. It won’t change because of TV timeouts. Saturday auburn punted with 9 seconds left in the half, and we got a 3:20 TV timeout.

Every attendee needs a personal attendant with a palm frond to fan them and a flat screen mounted on the back of the seat in front of them to watch the game on.

We should all just be happy to shell out our money, go sit in a concrete bowl with aluminum seats for 4 hours, and be happy we have the opportunity to see our favorite team play.
Sounds good..I'm in

You left out the fact that we have more females coming to games and they leave early with beta males following them out.

I am an 82 LSU grad. Have been going to games in TS since I was 10 years old. Have had season tickets in South Endzone, section 417, for over 10 years. Traffic leaving the stadium has always been bad but generally tolerable. I am from out of town so normally stay at a hotel in Lobdell after the game. We stay until the last play, never leaving early , and just chill during the drive out listening to the post game show on the radio.
The Auburn game, while the game itself was great, was my worst experience for the following reasons:
1) Traffic going to the game was horrible. Took us 2 hours from Lobdell to get to my seat in TS. River Road traffic was completely standstill. I had to jump back to Nicholson which was at least moving very slowly. Barely made it to my seat by kickoff. I hope this is a one time thing as usually dont have a problem going in.
2) Bathroom issue is the worst I have ever seen. I stay in my seat from kickoff to half time. As soon as half time started, I tried to go to the bathroom and the lines extended as far as I could see. It was impossible to go to the bathroom and be back in my seat for kickoff of second half. That is over the top in my mind.
While I am a diehard Tiger fan and thoroughly enjoy the game and atmosphere, I guess I will have to start missing some of the game just to go to the bathroom. Or reconsider my options.
Dont even get me started on the concession lines.

They also added 10,000 seats when you totally didn’t need to add 10,000 seats.
How much money they spent to do that?
