I agree with you but his fear may be warranted.. I see it this way. If the gap between him and Nuss is so obvious that he isn’t willing to stay another year and try to take the spot, it gives me even more confidence in Nuss.. This board put Howard on a pedestal before he even got here and kind of brushed off Nuss. We forget Nuss has 3 more years here.. That’s pretty damn encouraging to me

Howard is literally leaving before any competition can happen.. We don’t need pussies leading our football team.

In this age of Wild West transfer portal a coach has to do what’s best for the next year. It was obvious Nuss and Daniels were more critical to next year than Howard. It sucks but the days of stockpiling good QB’s for the future is over.

Spot on. Kelly’s QB depth chart is what it is to give LSU the best chance to win a championship in 2023. You worry about ‘24 and beyond when you get there.

I made no argument that he was an incredible qb (though I’d argue he’s solid)
I was refuting your argument that Kelly can’t develop a qb.
He clearly can and and clearly improved a quarterback in only one offseason that had built up 3 years of bad habits at his old school.
I’d argue when you factor in everything including running the ball Jayden had a much better year but even if you disagree it is unarguable that with the same receiver corps the TEAM was much better with Jayden than they were with Max. As shown by making the sec championship beating bama etc.
So what do you care about. Qb stats or winning games?

I’m not going to go into a nuss vs Jayden rabbit hole.
Clearly throughout the season by their sideline interactions they have a good relationship support and cheer each other and that’s what we should do as fans.
I support tigers. I don’t support max and walker who chose to go elsewhere.
