Ole Miss bb is 12-0 so far this season under Beard. They won a TOTAL of 12 games last season.

A lesson for those who keep saying, "We'd suck this year anyway even if the General was back"

BS.

So you are equating Wade's coaching ability with that of Beard; that is funny.

I think you missed the point. It’s that if you’re gonna fire Wade, you damn sure better not hire a McLoser to replace him, especially when you can get a Chris Beard.

You know Ole Miss KenPom is #80 despite being 12-0. They’ve played a terrible schedule and beat a bunch of bad teams by small margins. They aren’t very good. Have you watched them play. LSU is currently #102 as data point.

Men's basketball is on probation. We have to suck so that football doesn't get in trouble.

They beat Memphis in a close one at home. Memphis has beaten Mizzou, Arkansas, A&M, Vandy, Clemson, UVA and Michigan so far this season. The only team to beat more ranked teams so far is Purdue.

The man strangled his girlfriend. Not a good look for LSU, which already has fired coaches in both basketball and football for cause.

Sure Beard is succeeding, but they were close in numerous games last year under the previous coach and always seemed to be on the cusp of winning. The elements were in place already

Yep I think comparing a 12-0 Chris Beard team to a Matt McMahon team with a similar record is like comparing apples to oranges

Beard was not available for the 500th time.

Coaching matters. Players matter.

Fyi, we were 12-0 at this time last year with our coach. Full seasons matter, too.

It's only been 21 months since their idol got fired. Give them some time to grieve.

Beard wasn't handed an empty roster and a program with a bad reputation and uncertain future that no players wanted to touch with a 10 foot pole under the NCAA microscope

LSU was too busy hiding the children and clutching pearls to give Beard a look.

He never said anything about Wade. Probably an indictment on Mcnuggets. You brought up wade.

Ya know, It is possible to talk about LSU basketball without bring up Wade. You should try it

The probation is literally one scholarship a year for two years. That’s it! The probation is not a reason good HCs would stay away. It’s also NOT the reason the program has been awful under McMahon. It’s a convenient excuse rooted in a bygone era of college basketball.

That aside, Beard is a great HC. In fact, if LSU had a choice between Wade and Beard, I’m taking Beard every time. And I like Wade!!! But, McMahon was two seconds away from being 12-0 in non-conference play last year. So while I have ZERO doubt Beard will finish much better than 2-16 in SEC play. I’d hold off on anointing Ole Miss great just yet
