It’s telling to me, that the “attorney” that was representing Moore isn’t publicly requesting the body cam. That tells me everything I need to know

And why isn’t he still today if his client was fully truthful?

I’ll give you a hint. Brpd most likely let him view the footage and he realized Moore was being dishonest.

Brpd’s current chief has zero problem firing an officer when they’re found to be wrong and sometimes even when they did nothing wrong.

Release the video. I withheld judgment until now. Now I believe Moore is full of shite unless the video shows otherwise. I highly doubt it does given the actions taken as a result of the investigation.

An attorney representing the Baton Rouge Police Union, which is a separate entity from BRPD, said the organization hopes that Moore faces repercussions for his "false" account of the incident. "We are satisfied with how this turned out for the three officers. Through this process, the chief was able to see through the allegations that were clearly unsubstantiated by the video. We are hopeful that LSU will hold Koy Moore accountable concerning his false allegations against these officers," said Kyle Kershaw, attorney for the Baton Rouge Police Union.

Waiting for the mayor to make a statement defending her officers and criticizing Moore for a false statement.

Moore should reimburse BRPD for money wasted on this investigation

Suspended???

He came to LSU with his side of the story. If he lied to them about something as serious as this then he needs to be kicked off the team.

I don't agree with tolerating this.

Yep and charged as well. If it weren’t for body cam, people’s lives could have been destroyed over this

Should be held accountable if he lied. Likewise if the officer did something he should be held accountable. It goes both ways.

We figured this out a while back when the police union lawyers asked Moore's attorney if they wanted them to release the video and he declined

When did this happen?

Last I saw, both Moore’s attorney AND the police union were calling for the video to be released (after both saying they had seen it), along with multiple requests from the media. At the time BRPD stated that they were withholding it because it was an open investigation.

Agreed. He wasted a shite load of tax payer dollars on a investigation that was based on his lies. He should be kicked off the team. The DA should prosecute him as well

How long were the cops suspended for? Seems like that would be the right amount of time for Koy to learn a valuable lesson. If they were off 4 weeks...sit him 4

No. He needs to go. He deliberately tried to ruin these men’s lives with explosive, false allegations.

So the BRPD kept quiet about something that made them look bad, rather than defend themselves in the court of public opinion?

Don't buy it.
The fact is that BRPD did "keep quiet about something that made them look bad, rather than defend themselves in the court of public opinion." You admit as much. You just think they did it because they are inefficient.

You think that this mayor and this police chief wouldn't frick over rank and file officers and throw them under the bus?

Should be kicked off the team for now as far as I’m concerned. Not shocked in the least.

The officers are damn lucky there was evidence this time to support their version. That could have easily not been the case, and irreparable damage could have been done to their lives and the city. Moore clung to his story despite it all. You don’t just shrug your shoulders at this kind of shite once you find out better. I thought we’re supposed to be living in the age of accountability these days.
