I also think since it's the last year of the four team playoff, it doesn't matter as much (from committee perspective). Next year, FSU would obviously be in (as would any other team that suffers a catostrophic injury at the end of the season) and have an opportunity to prove themselves.

2014 Ohio State probably wanted JT Barrett back also, as they weren't the same team without him. Seemed to work out ok with Cardale Jones though..... GIVEN THE CHANCE

Committee must be all democrats. Only democrats make such asinine decisions.

This is what you get when everyone wanted humans to entirely decide the playoff teams, instead of the computers being a factor - can’t argue with the computers.

Even if it was technically there the whole time, it is an awful and unprecedented look. At some point the committee decided that that single criterion alone would now dictate the results.

Fla State would've got their arse beat in the first round game. They have no quarterback. When they get their arse whooped by Georgia I hope people will realize the committee got it right. These are the current best 4 teams. It sucks for FSU. I hate it for them, but this is how it should be.

Do you think FSU would beat Bama today if they played each other, even if they played in Tallahassee?
Depends on which Bama team shows up. The one that played Auburn or the one that played Georgia.

I sure did think an Ewers led UT team had a shot to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa.
FSU without Travis has 0% chance against Bama right now

Did you see the pic of the criteria posted earlier in the thread? It seems pretty clear. Even Ray Charles can read it.

One of the committee's criteria to set teams apart first is to select conference champions. So, who is the conference champion?
The FSU vs Bama issue comes up because BOTH are conference champs. Georgia is not, so they don't have to consider GA vs Wash.

Are you serious? Rodemaker struggled against Florida - 5&7 Florida! The same Florida that we dropped more than 700 yds on. When you have 6'7" and 6'4" WRs, you should be throwing the ball up and moving the ball against that UF secondary. It was so bad Corey Raymond got let go.

Irrelevant? Seemed very relevant when they had to decide between Bama and FSU for the 4th spot in CFP. Seems like they like Bama.

FSU should pull a 1969 LSU and turn down their bowl invitation. They’d have a lot better reason for doing so.
That's better than losing by 40 to Georgia

This buffoon basically just said they chose Liberty over SMU for going unbeaten with the worst SOS. Guy is a moron.

Sure did. Did you watch FSU vs. Boston College, when they had Jordan Travis?
Rivalry games are always crazy, but what is FSU's excuse against BC? They escaped that game, just like Bama escaped Auburn. Next argument

Whoever set up the College Football Playoff Committee. Do you think the people on the committee today started the committee, thus creating the rules? Did I miss something?

FSU beat their rival pretty handily (UF)
If we’re randomly pulling games then add USF, Arkie & AU to Bama’s list

This is my main concern. Where does it stop? In my opinion, top 4 are UM, UGA, Bama and Ohio State. There is is good evidence for this.

Damn so you gotta hope no player gets injured or coach.
