If we didn’t get in for two you guys would be bitching about that.

Absolutely!!

You have the ball on the 2 yard line. Convert and the game ends there with the opponent never touching the ball. In OT you start from the 25 and your opponent will get a possession.

If there would have still been a minute or so on the clock I would have been happy with OT. But LSU wasn’t going to get a better situation in OT than ball on the 2 with a chance to win right there

Yes. I was yelling to do it in the moment.

Granted, emotion is a big part of that. But there was a good bit of logic that said going for 2 was the way to go, with our kick game problems (that was addressed in-game incorrectly) and a freshman kicker in a dome who's done nothing but kick on our surfaces at the top of a short list.

However, there is more weighty logic and conventional wisdom that says going for 1 was the safer call.

Can't fault CBK for going for 1. But I myself thought going for 2 was the way to go.

Put it this way, if you're going to "steal" one steal it with the guy(s) who did it. I would've trusted JD and the offense more than the freshman kicker with a block hanging over him under that pressure.

Side Note: A more experienced K and holder would've identified the blocking problem and brought it to Polian earlier in the game. Instead Polian was changing blockers, not blocking technique.

Of course they would be shitting their fruit of the looms. These dumbshits are claiming what they would have done with full knowledge of what happened. Obviously these morons swear they would have made the correct call.

They are extremely simple and cannot be objective. They all would have made the right call...always.

Absolutely not, I can’t believe people are even talking about that.

If we would’ve had a timeout, I think it would’ve been a decision Kelly would’ve made for sure.

After that drive, kicking it is probably the right choice.

Yes, because we already had a FG blocked, and I didn't like our chances in OT.

Not no but hell no.

The odds are overwhelming for making that extra point.

Keep hope alive and with the extra point and hope for the best in OT

Playing with house money at that point. I thought Daniels should have ran it in. Said it for 5 minutes during the review.

100 times out of 100 and go to overtime with momentum and the crowd behind you!

70-80% of the LSU fans left after the muffed punt.

I say that in a non derogatory manner.

It was a reasonable thing

Get the ever living frick out of here. Nobody thinks a second kick, much less an extra point is going to get blocked in a different manner. This is you not being objective and armed with hindsight and being too stupid to realize it.

No. You had all the momentum & your defense just got a breather after a huge stop. You play for overtime

I agree. And the assumption is they had just used their best “2pt play” to score that TD.

No doubt about it. The same people saying they would have gone for two now would be saying they should have kicked the xp.

Kicking the xp was the correct call. That's not even debatable. Now, obviously that didn't work out.
