We had all the momentum and more at that point. Kelly was thinking there was no way we lose in OT. Extra Point was the right call. We had the tipped kick earlier sure but we had also executed 2 extra points and a field goal in this game so while we had our problems the extra point was still the higher percentage play.

If I would've had the knowledge that we didn't fully correct what lead to the first blocked kick, absolutely.

In the post game BK said they made an adjustment to the left side of the line, after the blocked FG - It clearly didnt work well.

If I was certain that we knew who to block on a simple fricking extra point, absolutely not.

Come on man lets don’t be daft!! I’m 1000% sure that Mason Taylor has been coached to NEVER allow a rusher to get inside ur block when ur on the end of the line for kicks. Its 1 of the most basic concepts of blocking for kicks!

First off, I agree it being the most basic concept of kick protection. As for being daft, you are the one making the assumption that Taylor doing the exact same thing on the two blocked kicks was a mistake of his doing and not a breakdown in preparation/coaching. And you make this assumption knowing that there had already been a similar breakdown on the blocked FG by another player.

As for Kelly going for one, I don't put the blame of this on him if he was indeed told the protection issues were corrected.

we scored on the last 3 possessions and stopped FSU on the previous two, we were in the dome with the crowd on our side, we had the momentum, no, go to overtime.

but a case could be made for either, could have lived with either. I knew something would happen when the announcer said, "and now, the all important extra point" i just knew he would shank it or be blocked.

I could see a good argument either way as far as going for 2 or kicking the PAT. So I guess im 50% - 50% on that issue.

However im 100% positive that pretty much every fan saying he should’ve gone for 2 would be draggin BK all over the place just the same had he gone for 2 but didn’t convert!
