I think it's hilarious that people actually think he'd want to go back. You should hear the things his family says about LSU.

So what have you "heard."

I know a couple of people who are still up close and personal with Saban and they still like Baton Rouge.

Doesn't every LSU fan 'know someone who knows someone who says that Nick Saban said them he'd rather be at LSU?'

It boils down to this,LSU needs a coach with discipline. While the talent pool in Louisiana is vast, the majority of these kids are very undisciplined. This is what most LSU fans miss about Saban. He was an a-hole but he could keep oversized egos in line.

Fail. Did he ever 'discipline' the egos who were cancers in the locker room? No, he's all about expediency.

Last I recall, Les kicked RP off the team. Now that's discipline and the kind of integrity LSU needs in their coach. Period.

Sure would. He's an a-hole and a liar -- but I'll tolerate that for a hardass football team.

If you asked me early in 2008.. hell no. But early 2009 -- we deserve better.

fwiw, RP probably doesn't end up at LSU if Saban doesn't go to Miami that year. Tell me about any off the field issues we had when Saban was here.

You know who i'm talking about and I want honest answers.

Asking this question after the first dissapointing season in almost a decade is going to prove nothing, other than how fickle fan bases can be. If you had asked this after Miles won the NC in 2007, no doubt the majority answer would be different.

It would be like asking Bama fans after Saban went 6-6 during the regular season if they would rather have "insert coach here"?

I think this thread is more about your own hero worship issues than about what we really think. Always seeking validation and praise about your idle. Bama fans are so desperate in wanting the second comming of the Bear, a figure that will forever be linked to thier traditions in the national conscience like the days of old.

You are living in a fantasy land. It will never happen. It is only a matter of time before he leaves bama.

I just know his teams usually played with aggressiveness and never got pushed around. They played strong, esp on defense.

On the other hand, they sometimes looked like it was a chore to be out there and would end up dropping a game they shouldnt. Saban's offenses could put me to sleep too.

I'd take it all back though.

He loses at least 1 game he should win every year. Which games is that for Bama this year (TN, SC or Auburn). Les Miles has not done that yet

Do Kentucky and Arkansas in 2007 ring a bell?

I'd rather have Gruden. You gumps would crap on yourselves if we had Gruden calling the offense from the sidelines. Someone more fired up and 10 times the better game day coach.

I want Saban at Bama. Makes the SEC west better.

+1
Kinda like saying would Dallas rather keep Phillips or get Belichek.
Les seems to be a good guy, but the product on the field continues to decline. Saban may be an A-hole, but he continually puts out winners on the field.
Ideally, u want a coach that is a great person and puts out a great product. However, bottom line is, he's hired to win.
