Saban will wait until the last regular season and then fly off in the night and leave for the NFL again to coach the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones will spare no expense!

No.

He never had back to back 10 win seasons and spent most of his time polishing his own image and playing footsies with anyone and everyone with a job opening. He is a great builder but I don't know how much of a "sustainer" he is (we'll see). All of LSU's failures were ALWAYS someone else's fault. For a guy who was so hard nosed, he demanded accountability for anyone but himself.

We used him. He used us. Both sides benefited. But when the whore leaves, you don't keep pretending she ever loved you.

He's a good coach, but honestly, he always made my skin crawl. I was glad when he left. Then again, I never loved him, so I was never wounded when he did leave.

The bridge has burned unfortunately, but I do believe that two years ago with the Miles to Michigan stuff going on he would have come back. I think Scoop has some inside info on that if I'm not mistaken. I still think he won't be as happy at BAMA as he was at LSU despite what he says. Not because BAMA isn't a good place, but because it was at LSU where he first experienced something special.

Not a dream...fact...I say this without a link as proof...but do remember him saying several times that he missed the fall seasons in the north and the cool weather. Honestly he may have said it while at LSU but at any rate if you don't think that if ND came calling he wouldnt listen then your brain is on vacation!!

I would take him back in a heartbeat. The intensity brought to the program is second to none.

You said Sexton is going to go to work. Who is going to pay him more money? In a couple of years he is going to be in the neighborhood of 4.5 million a year at Alabama. You think ND is going to throw more than that at him? And if so, you think it will take Alabama more than .3 seconds to match it/go above it to keep him there?

eta. the people saying no are in denial. Any smart LSU fan would want the best coach in the nation back.
I just posted on another thread pretty much the same thing that anyone who doesn't want him back would be lying to themselves...
