You know who i'm talking about and I want honest answers.
I'd rather have Brian Kelly.

The other thing is that he loses games that you dont see coming as losses....not big games but games that you feel there is no possibility you could lose (evidence: Utah in 08, La Monroe 07 and Florida 03, UAB in 2000) He at least 1 game he should win every year. Which games is that for Bama this year (TN, SC or Auburn). Les Miles has not done that yet...we shall see. So you take the good with the bad I guess
That's exactly right. Every coach has faults. Saban's teams generally play solidly and aggressively, but often come out flat, especially on offense. But a Saban defense alone will win most games.

I agree. I think we look just like the LSU team that kicked our arse in 2006 during his first year at BAMA. His defense is sick.
WTF? Alabama's coach in 2006 was Mike Shula.

And in one fell swoop, without even mentioning a name, BamaScoop divides the LSU fanbase.

A Bama fan once asked a friend of mine about whether the Tiger Fans liked Les Miles. He responed, "Yes, the fans like Les just fine, they're just not sure whether he can coach. The Bama guy responed we have the opposite problem. We know Saban can coach, just not sure whether we like him.
(True story.)

I think we all know the answer is yes.
I think it's hilarious that people actually think he'd want to go back. You should hear the things his family says about LSU.

I wonder who ends up with him? In any case, he's a proven winner. Cincy in the top 15? Unheard of.

Yes...the Saban you have seems to let his OC run the show. The Saban we had controlled the reins. This is a much improved Saban over who we had.
I noticed that too. Bama's offense is waaaay better this year. Saban is terrible with offenses and maybe he's finally realized that.

If it could be the same sure. But you can't go back. It has never worked and never will. Myself I like Miles I think he is a good guy who cares about the players and the program. But it does appear that their are problems. he will need to find a way to quickly fix them or his days will be short. I like Miles better as a man he is a good guy. The other guy is a jackass and everyone knows it. For this reason he has never stayed anywhere very long and never will.

I am pretty sure Miami wont take him back.

Are you serious? Hell no. He's a transitional coach. Perfect for the time LSU needed him. Same holds true for Bama coming out of the scholarship issue.
But he's not a coach that can maintain. LSU is in a different position and needs a different coach.
God, I cant stop thinking about his teams' lack of consistency the last few years. Iowa comes to mind.
Good luck with him, Bama is looking good.

I know a couple of people who are still up close and personal with Saban and they still like Baton Rouge.

I've never heard anyone say he wants to come back to BR. The question was whether BR would want him back.

It boils down to this,LSU needs a coach with discipline. While the talent pool in Louisiana is vast, the majority of these kids are very undisciplined. This is what most LSU fans miss about Saban. He was an a-hole but he could keep oversized egos in line.

Great explanation. Unfortunately 99% of us will not become acquaintance's of our head coaches. The only benefit they will have to us is if they coach the team we like well. One does this for sure. The other, meh.
