i wouldn't like being part of a division that only has 3 charter members of the sec..we would be more of the old SWC

totally agree. LSU would be playing a Big 12 schedule instead of an SEC schedule. Those are LSU's historical rivals

I like the chaos and getting to play different opponents more often. The tie breaker isn't that convoluted, it's the same as basketball has been doing for years. It usually will come down to strength of schedule in the case of 3+ team ties.

15 other teams in a conference and you want to play 3 of them twice in the same year? With your model, we'd travel to each division member every year but once every 12 years to other conference members..

Divisions are far too lopsided for this to be fair.

It places us in the big12 additions division.

I don’t know of a clear way to do it though.

I would like regular cracks in Alabama, Auburn, and Florida.

For without a doubt. But, this makes way too much sense therefor it will probably never happen!

In a historical vacuum, I like this split.

I have too much affinity for the OLD SEC, though, to really be able to gleefully jump onboard with this. It probably still makes the most sense whether I like it or not.

I think most would be in favor of removing the Texas and Oklahoma teams from the SEC

4 divisions. Play your own division and two others. That way you get to play all of the other teams more often.

It should always be some type of rotating schedule. Otherwise somebody is getting hosed and somebody else is getting a soft schedule. At least by rotating it, everybodys in the same boat. LSU fans should be more aware of this than anybody.

i say rotated all the conference teams equally and get a home and home with every team every 4 years. We've already scrapped rivalries and tradition for money, so now at least make it fair. And if rivalry games still want to be played yearly, they can play as nonconference games on their own.

I don't like anything about having 16 teams in a conference. What's the point of the conference if you can only travel to some locations only once in an 8-year span
I want to go back to the 4-team pods idea where you play every team every 2 years and go to every SEC stadium once every 4 years

Sounds great and makes too much sense. Too many. Crybabies won’t want to play nine SEC games. Certainly doable, though,

I'd rather the pod system.

Pod 1

Texas
aTm
OU Mizzou

Pod 2

LSU
Ole Miss
Miss St
Arkansas

Pod 3

Bama
Auburn
Tennessee
Vandy

Pod 4

UF
UGA
SC
Kentucky

You play your pod yearly, plus each pod team plays the same other pod. That just leaves 1 game left over to get to 8 conference games.

If the SEC championship is still a must, then you can easily (and more evenly) get 2 teams. If Pod 1 plays pod 2 that year then the winner of those pods play in SECCG vs winner of pods 3/4.

Hell, I'd rather even have 11 SEC games plus 1 OOC week 1 game for each team.

all of the old guard SEC teams are in the east. LSU has played them for 100 years.

We've played aTm & Arkansas as much or more than Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Auburn, and close with Florida.. We played Texas as early as most of the east,as well. The only real outliers are the two Big 8 teams.
