LSU has had shitty MBB coaches for one reason or another since I started school. Dale is one of the most hypocritical of them all. He was paying players and hated Wade for it. Neither did what we ultimately wanted.

OP with a big stretch. He hired JJ who is clearly the best baseball coach in college. He also hired KM for woman’s basketball and DD’s replacement. Collectively they have won 4 NCs. He severely screwed up the BK hire, but consensus at he time was that he was a home run. Basketball —by far a true cluster with how he dealt with Will Wade and the hire.

It's still on the AD to ultimately make the hire and make sure it happens. He could've decided he wanted to move away from Breaux or thought Mulkey wouldn't stay/wanted to much money. He made the hires regardless of how much work was needed to get it done.
