Woodward convinced chris Peterson to come to Washington when he rejected better programs from Boise

Peterson has averaged 4 losses a season at Wash. Lost 4 games last season.

He did what it took to get Jimbo there. How many wins against LSU did they have before Jimbo?

It's A&M. The only way they get a marquee coach there is to massively overpay

This. Top flight coaches aren’t exactly kicking down the door to go coach at Texas A&M

Just for the record, you’re saying Peterson isn’t a good coach?

LSU gave Saban big time money at the time. Balked at paying this guy no one knew from Michigan State.
Exactly. Saban would have agreed to anything to get out of East Lansing.

That’s not true at all

Saban gave LSU a list of demands before accepting the job

No, we were paying money not many coaches were making. He won, LSU made him the highest paid coach. Then Les won, and LSU made him the highest paid coach.

The TV money just made the salaries and the amount it took to have a top notch program rise at a crazy rate.

tOSU was blowing everyone out the water in what they were paying for a football staff when they hired Meyer. Y'all won. Was it worth it?

He wasn't when he got the LSU HC job. With a hefty buyout in his first LSU contract, Saban might still be at LSU.

That's what HC buyouts are designed to do. Keep them from splitting if they have a great season or two.
You’re a fricking moron if you think a dollar amount was going to stop the dolphins.

Either know what the frick your talking about or just don’t say shite.

Yeah, that was the contract he signed, just like Saban makes zillions at Bama and has no buyout if he leaves. Well worth it for a coach wins and brings untold millions to a school. In just one year, Jimbo elevated the contributions and passion of the fan base. It's well documented that donations, enrollment and overall revenues at Bama are up hundreds of millions at Bama since Saban arrived. No buyout is well worth it.

Stick to being wrong about Dwayne Haskins. At least then you can still pretend to be an Ohio State fan.

947 Woodward agreed to $75 million for Jimbo and Jimbo pays zero buyout if he leaves? This is circulating on the A&M boards.

He got the coach they wanted at all costs........There’s a reason Jimbo set the stipulations......

Their boosters came up with the deal. Takes a lot of certain caviotz to pull a coach like Jimbo to a shite hole like Aggie Land.

Best thing for Jimbo is he can leave whenever he wants, or suck them dry while winning 8 games a year

Jimbo beat O

not really. More accurate to say the refs beat LSU in that game.

Had the offense put A&M away like they should have during regulation, the refs wouldn’t have had a chance to affect the outcome.

Don’t bring that weak shite. The game shouldn’t have been close.

O lost two games he shouldn’t have, A&M and Florida. There’s no getting around it, and it won’t fly this year.

Texas A&M beat LSU for the first time in two decades about a month after you said LSU dodged a bullet by not hiring Fisher.

Excuse me if I never take anything you say seriously.

No, he knew he wouldn't be there when Jimbo left, and everybody was just concerned with getting him. #Aggyproblems
no I think it was more Aggie boosters doing anything to get him instead of LSU

Or he would have stayed at MSU another year or 2 before bolting for the NFL. He had NFL interest before coming to LSU.

Like that would stop an NFL owner
