no context, acts like all records are the same ignores everything but cherry picked factoid brilliant. Saban had interviewed with NFL before coming to LSU, his resume included stops as a DB coach and DC in both college and the pros and 6 years as a head coach with no losing seasons and had turned MSU around.

Saban started there in 95, MSU had not had a winning season since 1990 and iirc was hammered by NCAA sanctions they were 9-2 when he left and finished that year 10-2

Saban had one good season - his last.
In the other 4 seasons Saban was 25-22-1. I have Mich St alum in my family. They were thrilled to see Saban hit the road.
