It's amazing that our fanbase thinks Nuss sucks because he wasn't lighting it up against Clemson and Florida but a good 2nd half performance against Southeastern has convinced us MVB is Black Burrow

This board is so reactive. Coaches are bad we want them fired. Coaches are good we start worrying immediately about who's going to take them from us.

Van Buren looked great, but he literally looked good for one quarter against an FCS School and now we're trying to figure out where Hurley is going. Just let it play out. Life gets really miserable if you're constantly looking at the worst case scenario. Most of the time it never happens, when it does you deal with it.

Van Buren played well against SELU so that makes him the clear heir apparent?

There are no actual rumors. Just deductive speculation that it's likely Napier will be fired, thus making it like Lagway would consider transferring. He was recruited by LSU...along with everyone else...so maybe LSU would be a potential transfer destination (if he chose to transfer). There's nothing concrete about anything.

Lagway does like throwing to LSU players. Would be a great fit.

How about we just let him sit and learn until he’s ready to earn his PT? MVB looked promising but that was SE LA, not a real litmus test.

I’m pulling for Hurley. Came out early to join the Tigers and was recruiting his rear office for us. And he has the raw material to be a great one.

Isn't Hurley like 18 years old and was hurt from a car crash before Spring practice? He also had really poor accuracy in high school (although very young).

Definitely shouldn't be freaking out over this in September

Really? Because he looked sharp against a mediocre FCS team = automatic starting QB next year?

What about his 300 passing yards and 3TD's against Georgia last year? Does that count?

Hurley is a Redshirt Freshman. He still has plenty of time.

Could he also be given a medical redshirt due to the car wreck?

Van Buren looked really good Saturday, but the downside is that means Hurley is most likely going to hit the portal.

Its amazing how some of you are so presumptious to think for someone else just because you expect them to do what you would do.

Same reason Arch Manning left Texas and Nuss left LSU.

I suppose this is the big question about Hurley.

How patient will he be?

Im hoping we can snag Eli Holstein in the portal. He's got plenty of game experience and has 2 seasons if he wants it.

:rotflmao:

MVB is next man up based off 1 performance against an FCS team??

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

next man up isnt on our roster right now more than likely. MVB was horrible in fall camp against a defense with equal talent.

It's amazing that you overlooked a quarterback more comparable to MVB. A better comparison would be Jayden, not because he's "black"; they share a similar skill set.
