With the ULL job filled where would Canada go?

The only head job still open is Kent State and Canada's name hasnt been mentioned in connection to it at all as far as I can tell.
So that leaves offensive coordinator positions. Was his offense impressive enough this year for some team to pay a $1.2 million buyout to get him?
That has to significantly reduce the possibilities.
Personally I'm thinking that Detillier is once again full of shite.

End thread. Hopefully, this Canada leaving b.s. will end too.

I just don’t see it. Why is it so assumed he’s gone?

I'm not sure why he is taken so seriously. The dude whiffs constantly.
The way he said he thought Canada would be gone yesterday, with the relationship that we all know he says he has with O, he had better be right.
The circumstances can only really get more favorable for him to predict correctly. He said that with only o a few open positions in the country. If he turns out to be wrong, he was clearly talking out of his arse.

I dont get it either.
Now I'm sure he put his name out for Head Coaching gigs and who could blame him? He wants to be a head coach.
But I just dont see him bolting, taking a pay cut or someone willing to pay his buyout when he could field one great offense here and possibly be in line for a P5 HC gig.

If LSU wants him gone, they'll wave that buyout. That's a non-factor.

What's so hard to understand?
Orgeron wants him gone, he just knows the optics of bringing in an OC, admittedly meddling in the offense, then firing the OC after one season is a very bad look. O is hoping to save face by having Canada take another job.

I agree. The only remaining HC job is Kent State and reportedly 15 candidates have already turned them down. It's starting to make the Tenn. search look efficient.
If he does seek out another OC job that will be his 7th OC job in 9 years:
2010 Indiana
2011 N. Illinois
2012 Wisconsin
2013-15 NC State (fired)
2016 Pitt
2017 LSU
2018 ?
His agent may need to shake some sense into him.

The Rant will find him a new gig soon enough.
Posted on 12/15/17 at 1:27 pm to Pelican fan99
he quit recruiting and wants out after the aleva chewing.

Are you suggesting that the Rant overreacted and jumped to conclusions? What do you think this place is, some kind of LSU crackpot theories board?
Posted on 12/15/17 at 1:37 pm to CottonWasKing
Wait, you mean Cananda didn’t leave for a HC job and hasn’t been fired??????
Is it even remotely possible that the whole Canada leaving thing was an overblown rumor largely started by and propagated by the Rant?
That can’t be.

He has always been full of shite. Whenever he says something, the exact opposite usually ends up being true.

Because the Rant is full of conspiracy theorists trying to prove how smart they are(n't).
So far as I've seen, NOBODY knows what went on in the alleged meeting with Alleva, O and Canada except the three participants. If anyone else does, he ain't saying.
Then, O makes one comment saying if Canada wants a HC gig, he hopes he gets one. (Jeezum Pete, why wouldn't any head coach say that? If a boss is worth working for to begin with, he wants his subordinates to succeed. How the Hell does that equate to running someone off?)
So, the rantiots get together and start clamoring that O wants him gone. They don't have any proof, but it sure feels good for them when they display their "awesome" intellects!
Maybe they'll turn out right. Maybe he'll leave for some totally unconnected reason and they'll claim they were right. But maybe they'll turn out to have been trying way too hard to make 2 + 2 = 7!

Just wait a few days and find out. I’d be willing to bet he isn’t wrong.
Posted on 12/15/17 at 1:39 pm to TigerSpray
Do you have any proof of this? Or are you just talking out of your arse like every other "expert" on O and Canada's relationship?

If the rumors are true, although I'm not buying them, then it's hard to believe that it is Coach O's fault that they don't get along.
