Let's hope he doesn't leave. If he does leave absolutely nothing positive will come from it for next season. I want to see LSU legitimately compete for the West next year and to do that there needs to be continuity. We are not in the same position Bama is where they can play musical chairs with coordinators and not miss a beat.

I was under the impression that the "Alleva chewing" empowered Canada by keeping O out of the offense?

I don't like Canada's offense plain and simple. I don't think O does either. Hence, I would like to see a new guy in.

just don’t see it. Why is it so assumed he’s gone?

Because a barely literate Louisiana based media member likes to run off at the mouth and act like he knows what he’s talking about on BR sports radio.

The offense was finally coming together at the end of the season. Switching coordinators and the system would be taking a step backwards next year. We have a hard enough schedule as it is and a change in coordinators and system would most likely make it more difficult.

I was skeptical at first with his offense and was a big doubter but as the season went on I started to see the guys improve and it almost seemed foolproof at times.
I can’t wait to see this offense in year 2

Plus let’s be honest here, he was handcuffed on the plays he could call due to Etling’s inconsistency of throwing the football to open receivers. Once Brennan gets some experience under his belt, then I think we will see his real offense. Give the man some time.

Absolutely. I think the new challenge for him will be having 2 capable QBs and how he’s going to test each one, is one going to be better against certain teams/situations, who gels with the offense better, etc.
I wouldn’t want either to transfer. I’m interested in the shot he gives these guys.
Does Narcisse have a redshirt from this year?

No one asked what you wanted. The question was where would he go.

This.....I think most on this board thought our players would just magically know Canada's plays, formations, and offense in general as soon as he was hired. Not to mention Canada himself had to learn our personnel and then cater his system to what he had to work with.

Newsflash people....this shite doesn't happen overnight.

Are you suggesting that the Rant overreacted and jumped to conclusions? What do you think this place is, some kind of LSU crackpot theories board?

That is why The Rant is so treasured in the world of message boards.

Rumors of Grimes leaving but Rant says no- He leaves
Rumors of Austin Thomas leaving but Rant says no- He leaves

Rumors for months that Canada and O hate each other and a guy as well connected to O as anyone says he's gone and the Rant says no...

You morons don't see a pattern? They're trying their best to make this a Les Miles situation where he encourages other employment. Canada may not get another job is the hold up.

He's definitely gone one way or another though.

Semjase been saying for two years that Grimes will be gone. (And emphatic about it this year) He gone.

Semjase said the same thing about Jennings, Harris and Scott too............

Is it even remotely possible that the whole Canada leaving thing was an overblown rumor largely started by and propagated by the Rant?

No one even discussed him leaving until our head coach out of nowhere mentioned that he expect Canada to find a HC job this offseason.
