And that’s among those who have tested positive. If you factor in those who had the virus but never got tested, the CDC says it 6x-24x better.

The problem is false negative tests. The test is most accurate 2 weeks after you have symptoms. Test to early and the test misses the antigen. These people are really positive and go about their merry way further spreading the virus.
I know several people that definitely had the virus with all the classic symptoms and tested negative multiple times.

Apparently a lot cheaper and faster. So it would appear so.

If someone feels sick/has fever and goes to the doctor/urgent care than get tested. Why are all these people that feel perfectly fine driving to somewhere to get an uncomfortable test. Do you need a free JBE Big Mac that bad?

For what it is worth, I thought i saw where the NCAA stated that if you test positive then once you recover you don't have to be tested again for 3 months unless you display symptoms.

Schools or SEC may have their own testing rules of course, but unless something has changed the NCAA won't be a big problem here.

gave you a downvote because of this figure. (15-24 years of age is 99.88%) no way that number is correct.

definite upvote for the the remainder of the post.

The old “ignore it and it doesn’t exist” trick huh?

I failed many of classes using this methodology. Oh the paper that’s due tomorrow? frick it I’ll turn in Tuesday.... it’s already late so maybe I’ll Push it back to Wednesday.....frick it, I can take one zero as long as I get 100 on EVERYTHING else, never mind the fact that I don’t go to class so I’ll already lose 10 points.

I do not agree with the OP that 'testing is the problem" but, what else do we test for, with no symptoms present, other than cancer? Yet we do this with the rona. Why don't we test everyone as "flu carriers"? That would also save a lot of lives. We can just all lock ourselves up and waste the rest of our lives.

Also from the CDC website:
quote:
If you test positive

A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance a positive result means that you have antibodies from an infection with a virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses), such as the one that causes the common cold.

to be fair, that quote is for the antibody test, not the viral test. They claim a cold will not make you test positive for a COVID-19 viral test.
