One may ask, didn't BIG 10 and Pac-12 act too soon to cancel their seasons?

Personally I think that more tests are the problem. If there were no tests then none of this would be an issue.

Covid-19 is so deadly and damaging, you need a test to find out whether you have it or have had it.

Straight from the CDC website.

quote:

Most reported SARS-CoV-2 infections in children aged <18 years are asymptomatic or mild

quote:

Analysis of pediatric COVID-19 hospitalization data from 14 states found that although the cumulative rate of COVID-19–associated hospitalization among children (8.0 per 100,000 population) is low

Why are we acting like Covid is the bubonic plague?

Well, if it was very deadly and damaging, it wouldn't have spread easily. But, I get your point

Also from the CDC website:
quote:

If you test positive

A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance a positive result means that you have antibodies from an infection with a virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses), such as the one that causes the common cold.

You can bet your arse they are ALL being recorded as covid positive, even when it's just a related virus.

The problem lies not with playing, but with National championship contention,

I want to play by all means, but if we loose 5 starters before the bama game I’d be highly pissed...

The test itself would be the problem in that scenario

I just can’t with this guy. You are awarded no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The Big 10 is experiencing some backlash on their quick decision to postpone or cancel. Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, Nebraska are pushing to play. I haven’t ready anything about the PAC 12. I wouldn’t be surprised if some Big 10 schools kick off this fall.

I wonder if Neil Farrell reconsiders his decision to opt out now?

But these are going to be so much cheaper. These are between $10-$20. Everyone will have access to a test that will give a result in 20 minutes to 3 hours. That’s huge.

Survival rate of young people nationwide 15-24 years of age is 99.88%. Just posted from the state of Alabama for Feb to August survival rate of all people 99.96%. We are being scammed. The Big 10 has lack of leadership, it is political, that's all. Is it real, yes. Is it serious, yes. Is it cause for shutting down the country, no. Maybe a few hot spots but 95% of the country should be business as usual.
