He couldn't even celebrate the accomplishment with his team. Inexcusable.

Why should he be. His actions are why we are in this mess. In an effort to save the season for the players, there was no other option.

Well, you are done with LSU, so you don't even have that.

BTW, ever program BUT Virginia is waiting on next year. Of course we don't have to wait on next year for the SEC banner...unless we don't suspend Wade...then we get that stripped no matter what.

Vanilla picked a pretty convenient time to go missing. He apparently has the flu....or a concussion.

I'm generally skeptical of "sauces" so no offense meant directly to you. But if they're meeting today with the plan for him to be reinstated, why wait until Friday to announce. Particularly if the no contact period ends today. Seems to me that you would not want your officially suspended/unofficially reinstated coach contacting recruits.

There was another option; don't cave to a fricking Yahoo article.

or a concussion.

While no ones know for sure if he actually has sauces or not, he was right about the concussion thing

If it doesn’t get resolved before the weekend, the BOR and most of the BOS will be ready to go to war with Alleva and Fking.

He has been right about several things. Not sure what his connections are, but he does seem to have access to some of the players (relationship or otherwise).

You act as if there was not a tape. There was a tape, correct? You act as if yahoo put out an article based solely on their crack investigatory prowess.

There was a tape, Wade was on it, the content was smelly enough that something had to be done. If it is nothing Wade has his suspension lifted and we had a great season and a Sweet 16.

If it is something it shows LSU was aware and took appropriate actions and we may save the season for the players.

If it's nothing then Alleva acted in a rash, heavy-handed manner (which he has a history of doing) and stifled a team that could've done something special.

If it's something then suspending WW would've done nothing to stop punishment from the NCAA.

Alleva and the top brass at LSU took a fantastic season and threw it in the trash.

As much as I hate Alleva and FKA and the abomination they are for LSU, it still wasn't their words caught on the wiretap.

It was their actions in response to a FBI trial LEAK with no actual definitive full information is what people are upset about, if you still dont get it.

They don’t have to “go to war”. They hold Alexander and Alleva’s fate in their hands.

. overly cautious maybe. But entirely understandable. I could almost understand if he did not suspend him, but come on, this is a Wade issue of being caught on tape.

You've heard the tape? How do you know who's words they are? Just because the defense says its Wade, you believe them?

This is single source journalism at its worst. Dawkins' defense team is leaking the narrative they want to get out there and these "journalists" aren't bothering to vet the information through a second, independent source.

you don’t suspend on “smelly” content alone KNOWING that this “tape” had MUCH bigger fish with much worse incriminating evidence. The Feds aren’t investigating them nor are the investigating Wade. Smartly, those universities are holding pat to see how it plays out because they are likely not in the same position for sanctions from a compliance perspective towards institutional control.

This is a calculated reaction to use Wade as an example of “institutional control” in an effort to demonstrate to the NCAA some semblance of proactive compliance to avoid potentially MUCH deeper compliance issues that are lurking with the OLOL discoveries in OCTOBER last year. Wade put himself in that position for suspension which the university was excited to oblige to get them out of a crack. IMO - this is about football ie your biggest cash cow. A ban on football is devastating from a budget perspective not only to the athletics support for other non-revenue generating sports, but to academics with the millions that athletics gives back.

It is ALWAYS about MONEY! ALWAYS.
