Sometimes it's more fun to be the hunter instead of the hunted. LSU is a home underdog to Miss St. In Death Valley. To Mississippi State. You know, the team we beat 14 years in a row.

Oh, did I mention at some point in the second half it will actually be Saturday Night in Death Valley? 2.5 pt underdog. To Miss St.

We have a reputation to uphold. SEC home opener. Underdog. Death Valley. Time to put the rest of the conference on notice. If the stadium isn't a madhouse, then it's time to admit the Death Valley mystique is dead and the traffic PTSD is real.

Nah it still rocks for the really big games. Which this actually kind of is, but whether the fan base as a whole understands that or not won’t be known until tomorrow.

People dipping out at half against Auburn last year was embarrassing. This game is at 5, not 8 though.

Expansion
Elimination of tailgate areas
Corporate Tailgate Priority
Commercialized flashing lights
Piped in obnoxious music
NO Parking
Outrageous traffic

Stadium is not close to the same atmosphere as it was 10+ years ago.

LSU football's reputation is anything but a myth. It's been tough couple of years, but we are the LSU Tigers. Hoping for some grace against a tough opponent on Saturday night.

If it's a close game, I'm sure it will be a pretty good atmosphere. I'm not sure how many people will be there though. Now if we are 4-1 going in to the Tennessee game, that will be a different story.

Absolutely without a doubt ruined everything.

I think the Tigers fight hard Saturday.

I'm expecting the atmosphere to be pretty good tomorrow. Could be a turning point in Kelly's first year.

I really expect this game to be a great environment.

MSU fans are energized and LSU is coming off a blowout win.

Wish the game was a little later though - 5pm still gives me about an hour and a half to get fried on the north side

People are so addicted to their phones they can’t focus on a game for 3 hours

They can reduce capacity back down to 95k or so adding chair backs to the south end zone, non student section pet of NEZ, and the rest of the uppers.

I think that would go a long way.

I hope so but there are some really good seats available on Stubhub for fair prices. That’s usually not a great sign for a packed house.

Considering the sinking ship we've been on since Covid hit, this season is the first real opportunity for things to get fun again since 2019.

LSU WILL BE WIDE AWAKE . All the comments complaining about traffic, parking, etc. is weak. Every college has that problem. Its like complaining about the weather. You heard what the Lsu coach assit stated last week. He's never been in a stadium that was so imposing and awesome. That was against Southern. Wait until Miss state rolls in this Saturday night on ESPN
