If you watch the Auburn game it was pretty full at kickoff. Then the real rain hit and kept coming. Once we got up big at halftime I think a lot of fans had had enough of it. I think Atm will be much better, people will come prepared. And there are a lot of fans that really just wanted to see this game. I think it will be better than average.
plus I suspect LSU will keep it close all game which will keep the fans around.

Took the then-girlfriend, now-wife to her first LSU game (she's an Aggie) back in 2006. It was the Fresno State game, where it didn't rain much during said game but sure did right before kickoff.
I remember her wearing some cheap-arse poncho, wading through shin-high water right outside the stadium, saying, "if this doesn't prove how much I love you, nothing will".
I don't care if it's raining sideways, we'll be there. Hell, I'll never pass on a chance to serenade her with the "poor Aggies" chant once we win. Again.

Will be loud and proud rain or shine!!!
On a side note, I got really pissed off at my weather channel app for being wrong majority of the time so I downloaded the accuweather app which has been quite accurate.
Accuweather is saying 30% chance of rain/drizzle during the day with the temp being in the low 50's and later dropping at night. Also says Saturday will be excellent for outdoor fitness so lets do work on them schwaggies!!!

Anyone else expect a lackluster environment around campus & in the stadium?
yep

I hope not. Louisiana sports fans are really soft though. We'll see I guess.

Expectations of a loss will hurt attendance more so than the weather I'm thinking.

day games are toooo hot in tiger stadium in sep.
nite games are toooo cold in dv in Nov.
i was always taught in the boy scouts that the best camping was in the rain!
i pray for rain.

It's still a bit early for an accurate forecast. Tomorrow's forecast will be more accurate.

According to which forecast you look at. If you go to Accuweather.com, they are predicting slight rain to light drizzle which doesn't sound too bad. Ive sat through many a rain game dating back to 3-0 Bama game in a solid cold downpour back in 1979. Tiger fans need to support the team and yell their butts off supporting our Tigers, come rain, sleet, snow or sunshine.

NWS
..is the only source you should ever use for forecasts. The hazardous outlook link has the details. As Kcrad mentioned, they won't really have solid timing of the rain on Saturday nailed down until tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Thanks for the information, ColoradoAG. Went to the NWS site that you linked and will definitely follow for now on up here in Montana. Greatly appreciated.

I too rely solely on the NWS for local forecast. The link I click on is the "Forecast Discussion" link. This is a narrative where they talk in detail (and somewhat technical language, which I ignore) about frontal passage, when they think the rain will begin and end, etc.
And yes, the accuracy of a forecast more than 48 hours out is iffy.

Had the wife with me for Auburn and we had to leave at halftime.
If it rains, my wife will back out and I can go to the game with a buddy, stay the whole game, frickin win, and sing the Alma Mater with Odell and Jarvis for the last time.
I'll be there.
