Well at least you admit it you're going beyond logic.

How does that justify giving him the job?

It doesn't. It's just that he already has it. So why not give him a fair evaluation?

I don't know if he has the choice not to. For the first time since, at least, 2012 (if not before), LSU doesn't have a proven game-breaker at RB. Maybe one of the 4 RB's on the roster is the next in line. But right now we haven't seen anything tangible to suggest that it true.

This season looks closer to 2008 or even 2006 (offensively) than the last 5 years in that LSU doesn't really have a "proven" RB coming back. In both seasons LSU had to really rely on the passing game. In 08 LSU threw the ball 391 times. I think the only seasons they threw it more was 03 and 07, but that is because those teams played 1 and 2 more games than the 08 team.

I think most would agree the WR group looks to be the most talented group on offense. I don't see how LSU can be effective on offense if they aren't utilizing the WR's in a big way.

Under Ensminger as interim OC, LSU averaged 32 PPG and LSU lost 25% of their games. Going back to 2012, that's good for the 3rd highest PPG totals.

Those type of numbers got Cam Cameron fired, who had both of the higher PPG seasons by the way (2013 & 2015).

That is a fair evaluation.

Edit: I stand corrected. Only LSU and Kent state were shut out.

How many points did we score va Florida and Bama?

Those were the 2 top 50 defenses we faced

Well we did have a weak armed QB and our offensive line got handled by bama. If the line can protect better we at least have a higher ceiling with Brennan because of his release and arm strength. We'll see what happens.

I think we will be pleasantly surprised with our offense next year given the talent at WR and QB. While I share some of the doubts that are common here, I'm focusing on the positives for now. Our fans have been wanting more 4-WR sets and we have the athletes to exploit mismatches.

I also think the QB competition will make both guys better and we'll have better play at the position than we've had since the Jamarcus & Flynn era.

It’s the part that involves Ensminger and RBs

excuse.

First year QB starters can, and do, play very well.

Did you happen to catch the second half of the national championship game?

And I think We’ll have a good OL next year but we are acting like we’ll have 5 stars up and down he line when we’re really hoping for production from a few 4 and 3 stars.

You guys obsess with this 5 star thing a bit much. It's not like 4 star guys are slouches. Even Alabama has a ton of 4 star guys.

So we lose two staters from a team that Orgeron said wasnt talented enough to run 4 wide.

And now its our most talented position?

Well we're bringing in 4 really good freshman and Giles. That's in addition to Dillon, Davis, Anderson, and Sullivan. I don't know anything about Netherly McNath but people on here talk about them like they're good.

Do you think we have talent there or do we suck?

Can not waste the talent at WR that LSU has now.

We have to. We dont have the RB's we have had for last 10 yrs...

Also LSU returns a former 1000 yd receiver and Bilitnikof Award candidate in Jonathan Giles.

I think we have players that have never really stepped up and unproven players.

We have 4 and 5 star players on the bench last year. Didnt mean we could run 4 wide still.

Def some talent there, but once again, the argument last season was that we sucked at wr. Now it's the strength of the team with a bunch of guys that barely played because they were in the dog house or not better than the guys that just left.

I def believe E will throw the ball more, but that doesn't automatically equal success. Look at 08.

What is the big deal with running 4 wide anyway? It's not like it will be a base package

Because sometimes you need to. Or geronimo claimed last year we didn't have the talent to ever run it.
