And believe me, I want football this fall. Best time of the year. But I just don’t think it’s going to happen.
Sorry for the honesty.

I think the whole thing is overblown.
That said, I anticipate most colleges will go to online courses for the Fall semester, and the entire football season will be moved to spring.
I’m not saying that’s necessarily what I want or believe needs to happen, it just feels to me like the most logical solution and most likely thing to happen given all the hysteria and media and pressure being put on officials/businesses/institutions to “do something.”

the September 5th opener with UTSA, will the game be played in Death Valley WITHOUT FANS?

There won’t be a college football season played in the spring. If they can’t play in fall, it won’t be feasible to play in the spring. Having basketball, football, baseball, track and other spring sports at same time would over load the campus. Plus TV networks won’t be able to fulfill their contracts with TV broadcasts.

Well, if you are going to be pissed, then there better be a filled stadium.

Not the season will open First weekend in September. Not having the season is just something from some hack journalist looking for attention and relevance. Just like a 1000 something poster on here

I may be over simplifying this, but in my opinion if football and other sporting events are cancelled the economy won’t even recover 50% of the way as it is now. I’m not saying we need to play football and the economy is more important than peoples life’s because we have to do what we need to do protect people. I’m just saying if football and other concerts etc. don’t happen by fall it essentially applies it’s not safe out there. I just don’t know what I would spend any money on if there really isn’t anything to do. Buckle up this could get really interesting

If the teams can't have some type of summer practice....how will the season start in September...I think it will turn into only a conference schedule and all non conference games will be canceled...I can see the season starting in mid october and only being eight games..
The smaller schools will really suffer....playing the big boys is how they run their programs in all sports...

Speculate all you want. I think we will begin to actually know something after June 1.

We've been preparing for this in every 2nd half for the last 10 years.

This separation of the population is some stupid social frickery.

Just tell everyone the game will start with a 2d-half kickoff. Half the seats in TS will be empty. Voila, social distancing!
