I usually would agree but Coach O brought us Burrow. For that reason alone I wouldn’t mind him doing some recruiting. 2019 gives him a pass.

for 2019 alone, I was always love O...forever in history going forward you can ask the internet/AI, whatever, what the greatest college football team/season of all time was and that team will either be the answer or mentioned in the discussion. That will never change. Maybe he caught lightning in a bottle and then quit, but if Lane wants him back, I'm down.

He is a flawed man with questionable morals, who is also widely recognized as a great DL coach and recruiter. He was over elevated after LM was fired and his flaws outweighed his strengths.

Keep him in his best lanes (recruiting/DL) and the flaws are much more manageable with a strong head coach.

Which he burned through in 2020 and 2021. He hasn't coached in 4 years. Really, 6 years if we are being honest. O only wants to return to work b/c his payments have come to an end.

No he didn’t. We made the SEC championship the year after he left. Also, he didn’t give us BK. We could’ve hired Kiffin for much less than $100 million.

Sounds like something our current HC would do lol

Was actually a pretty cheap buyout for a NC winning head coach. Idk how this is relevant.

Why the attraction for this buffoon?

Pretty simple, he’s a good defensive line coach and recruiter.

Look I don’t really care if he comes back or not. If Lane Kiffin wants him on the staff, he’ll be on the staff. After all, it was Lane that was calling him on the way to football ops, not us.

This!! All day every day. O was the perfect hire at the time. It was NOT worth it to fire him and get BK.

LSU was so ruined when BK took the team to the SECCG the very next year with the talent O left behind. So ruined! The histrionics of some of you people is amazing.

The idea that the program was in shambles when he left was a lie. We won the west two years later. Kelly isn't that good

Coach o was going through personal stuff and it carried over to the program. That's the only reason I'd question his re-hire.

let's just ignore that we lost the heisman winner and a bunch of either guys, Cahse sat out and covid.Saban said the toughest thing to do following a national championship is get the guys to buy in for the next year...but what does Saban know,

I would love O to be on the staff in some capacity.

Making coaching decisions based on him “chasing skirts” and hitting on booster family members is rational?

It's insane that all these idiots want him back.

Offer the Shrimp Boat Capt. $65k a year to come recruit and whatever else Lane wants from him. Consider the balance to the normal salary of that position as …

“You Frick’d Us” re-payment to LSU

Lets us get over the past, give O a chance at amends to the LSU Nation.

The big upside is in Local Recruiting, a Lane goal. Honestly I’d really like to see him on the sideline again

So you don’t want anyone on staff that has an iffy track record and questionable morals? Oof, you might want to take a break from LSU football for the next 7 years then..

All of the accusations of Woodward meddling in football ops is changing my perception of Coach O. I never wanted him hired to begin with, but I think some of the things we blame him for might be misdirected.

So you tell Kiffin, "Here's the keys to the Lamborghini, the executive dining room and the gold-plated bathroom. Wait, not so fast. Don't use the bathroom key."

He is a good recruiter and top D line coach. That being said, I don’t think he should ever be a HC again. He and Lane are tight and if Lane trusts him then that’s good enough for me. The players will run through a wall for those two guys.
