Your board must've comprised of competent Texas Fans then. Where I've been is filled with ignorant people. A few say that LSUs defense is no joke, but the are quick to get shot down. It will be a game of two very good teams.

that doesn't mean anything. It is still super hot in Texas near 10pm.

Wrong! Spent a couple of weeks in late July in Austin. Not even close to the same as south Louisiana. The humidity definitely makes it worse.

Last time we played against a great QB with a subpar and inexperienced team around them we stomped Louisville’s arse

Seems legit and reasonable thinking on their end. However, what I am more amazed at (from what I've read) Texas is replacing 9 starters on defense with new players that have not started a game in college. That's crazy how they are ranked so high w/o a proven defense. I say LSU 47 TEXAS 28. GEAUX TIGERS!

Has it been mentioned that UGA’s defense had one NFL draft pick playing in the Sugar Bowl? The 168th pick overall.

DeAndre Baker didn’t care to play.

It’s the off-season. Everyone thinks their time is primed for success.

It amazes me that people get upset that a fan of another team thinks they will win.

We aren’t talking about a game in November between an undefeated team and a 2-7 squad.

They claim they smashed Georgia but only beat a unmotivated Georgia team by 7

They smashed Georgia. They were winning by two TDs and Georgia got a garbage time TD.

I see this a lot but since I don’t follow Texas as close as their fans (and I’m guessing neither do you) how many of these “new starters” played a lot but didn’t necessarily start last year? Ever year LSU fans get excited about some freshman who we think will have an impact (and many of them do) why would we assume other teams don’t? We are replacing an all American in Greedy with a true freshman.

I think Texas fans are excited because the players that left are being replaced by better players.

It's no stretch to believe Texas will keep the game close. Absent multiple turnovers, it will be difficult to hold this Texas offense under 24-28 points in Austin. LSU has put one elite offense on the field in the last decade, no matter the annual chatter about new offensive coaches or concepts.

Do you believe LSU can score more than 30 points in Austin without 2 or more Texas turnovers? If yes, then bet heavy on LSU.

Texas is enormous. There are different climates in Texas. Austin is Hill Country, and it is bordering a wine growing region. It might be hot during the day, but it cools quickly as the sun drops.

Just got through browsing texas message boards. Man they are really holding in to that Georgia win.

LSU has a great defense....that's what UGA said

LSU has a good run game....that's what UGA said. Etc.....

Man I hope we go 07 Virginia Tech on them. We owe them one from the cotton bowl.

I've only read a few UT chats...they talk about wearing out our defensive front but they don't realize that we have more depth than last year.
When our D is at its best, we're winning 1st & 2nd down and putting opposing offenses in obvious passing situations. We get to tee off on the QB and they're suddenly not very good under pressure throwing into tight windows. Yep we can talk about the UGA game too!
I expect our defensive front to win that matchup vs. their O-line and that will be the difference.

And if they think LSU players will be affected by hot weather in an evening game in Austin...
