There isn’t a world that exists where a 23yr old with 1 good year in 5 seasons is considered a better prospect than a 21yr old with 3 all American caliber seasons out of 3.

Based on the checklist you agreed with:

Age: Lawrence
Production: Lawrence
Measurables: Lawrence

You don’t know what a prospect is. I can’t believe you bumped this lol

We still have better defenses than the ACC.

The best defense he saw before Ohio State was Pitt. They did it even play Miami.

And it’s not like there were a bunch of unstoppable offenses. The ACC is just a 1 team league.

You prob don’t even know who some of these guys are. They’ve all had 30+ TD seasons in the last 5-6 years. Lawrence is way better than any of these guys. SEC isn’t what you think it is

Bentley
Shurmur
Fitzgerald
Fromm
Franks
Mond
Dobbs
Brandon Allen
Blake sims
Dylan Thompson

The highest ranked defense Lawrence played last year in regulation was Pitt.

He didn’t play a top 25 Defense until the playoffs.

How did that go?

You don’t know what an all-American is.

You are leaving out so much in those 3 "prospect" categories.

Somewhere, whether you include it in production, or add more categories, you have to include more facets of the game.

In that breakdown, no mention of Burrow's toughness, accuracy, scrambling, ability to escape when protection breaks down and still make big plays down the field. These are the aspects of Joe's game that make him a rare prospect.

Then you also have things like leadership, preparation, poise -- things that are sometimes not easy to evaluate, but are parts of prospect evaluation and areas that are strengths for Joe.

A lot of his success will depend on the players around him, but he's got that laser focus and intense grind mentality that top-level NFL QBs have.

Was focusing on tangible marks only. Some of the other stuff falls under production.

Even so, it’s still only one seasons worth of production at an advanced age.

Nfl wants to see QBs show out early, and consistently.

He’s probably one of the 10 or so best QB prospects ever

I love joe. He just doesn’t qualify to be the best ever

Peyton
Eli
Luck
Elway
Bradshaw
Vick
Cam

for sure

I wont open a can of worms with any more names

which puts Burrow still in great company. He's pretty firmly in the top 10
