Andrew Luck was considered to be the best QB prospect since Payton Manning, yet he only faced mediocre defenses against Oregon including a tanking USC. Even the great Payton Manning at Tenn couldn’t overcome the defenses he faced every year at Fla. In one season at LSU, Burrow faced Nick Saban at Alabama, Kevin Steele at Aub, Kirby Smart at Ga, and Bret Venables at Clemson, yet Burrow shredded the best defenses college football had to offer, breaking nearly every passing record in college,.

To put it more bluntly, Joe Burrow out-dueled some of the greatest defensive minds in college football, what college QB ever out-dueled so many future Hall of Fame coaches in just one season? Cinn. Bengals head coach was asked repeatedly but seemed too embarrassed to say how many draft picks he had turned down from NFL managers, all who were willing to trade up for LSU’s golden arm QB. Based on the evaluation of some NFL managers that Burrow is the best QB prospect ever, it suggests the number of draft picks were very high, that might take some explaining by the Bengals coach.as to why he said no.

To truly appreciate Burrow’s exceptional talent and prospect in the NFL, just look back at the single season completion percentage record, TD’s, and INT’s in college of greats like John Elway, Payton Manning, and Dan Marino, all who were extremely prolific passers in the NFL. After doing so, to suggest Joe Burrow is the greatest QB prospect ever to come out of college doesn’t really sound like hype.

Do you think Luck went to Oregon?

Luck went to Stanford, sorry if my wording confused you, Luck’s toughest competition was against Oregon and a tanking USC. What Burrow did was amazing.

The wording isn't confusing, it flat out says he went to Oregon.

Nothing in your post sheds light on this. All I see are your claims that he is.

I was watching several posts on YouTube with analysts in the NFL, discussing Joe Burrow, one YouTube post in particular analysts noted why some NFL teams believe Burrow is the best prospect ever. If I find it again I will post it.

On the Rich Eisen show just before the draft, NFL reporter Peter King hinted as to how much NFL teams really like Joe Burrow, when King suggested Miami trade four first-round draft picks to get him.

If you don’t have the sense to respect Kevin Steele, I’m not going to be able to explain it to you. Aub’s defense gave LSU the most trouble in the red zone, against Clemson in the red zone LSU was four for four.

Joe is is one tough SOB and has great instincts. Now if the Bengals could just firm an offense even close to what LSU had last year he will end up being really good.

Buurow will have Cinn in the playoffs, Cinn is far more talented than Miami.

Cincy was about a .500 or slightly better team not that long ago, and they have tools. And it's not as hard to gather talent as people think, anyway...

Saints went from a leaky O Line to one of the best in the league in a couple seasons. Cleveland went from a junkyard on offense to having a ton of young elite skill players (jury's out on Mayfield).
You can quickly plug almost any hole on the roster except QB; you can find a lineman or two, a solid defender, a good WR or back.

Most qbs would shine when they are running an NFL offense with talent galore against college defenses. Burrow had a all-time great season, but it was mostly the X's and O's that got him there.

Burrow is about as sure of a case as I've ever seen of "put him in the right position and he will deliver."

You call mediocre plays, you're gonna have a mediocre offense even with him slinging it.

Do you think perhaps the production of Joe allowed those X’s and O’s to reach their maximum potential?

That's not what I saw. I saw a QB moving in the pocket, scrambling to buy time, breaking runs for first downs, making pre-snap reads, and putting the ball on the money. I saw an all-around virtuoso.

This is why I think it is unfair for LSU fans to assume Brennan will be able to step right in an light opposing defenses up like Burrow did this past season. Physically he is fine. But what made Burrow great were his instincts, complete understanding of the offense, quick recognition of what the defenses were doing to try to stop it and the ability to put it all together in a matter of second. "Feel" is not something you can teach. Burrow, like a great PG in basketball had an understanding of where everyone was on the field at all times
