Why doesn't LSU just do seatbacks in all non-student section seats?

I get they make extra money from it, but it's cheaply made extra money. Meaning IMO it seems like its nickel and dime people already paying fees out the A**.
Also it makes the stadium interior shots look strange. I get many don't sit at the stadium and like to stand the whole game. Just seems to me as part of an upgrade, LSU should upgrade the benches, or at least slap chair backs on them.

ETA like in this picture, just looks off.

I'm not sure if any college only stadium is all chairback seating. Seems like it would decrease capacity and be expensive to install.

Stop bitching. Who cares what the stadium looks like on the inside when no one is in it??

Maybe next we should make sure to have the field painted up and ready for games at all times even in the offseason?? Because it looks kind of weird just having plain green grass out there on a football field doesn't it?

Seat backs suck. The back cushion takes up too much of my leg room.

So, I upgraded to the suites.

Worth every extra dime.. keeps the fatasses next to me from encroaching on my tiny square of a seat

Plus when everyone leaves at halftime, the stadium doesn't look as empty when there is gold in thevacated seats.

In Georgia at Sanford stadium while I was at the game a season ticket holder told me people could pay extra to have a back installed. He had two seats with backs (small with red cushions) and the seats to the left and right didn't have any. It looked weird

It would either
A. Decrease capacity or
B. They would smash everyone together like at Neyland stadium and nobody would have any room

That is the only reason I get them. The season ticket holder next to me goes 300+ easy.

We have the same thing offered for our bleacher seats. Just not in the student section.

They would only need them for 1/2 the game.

This...It's worth every penny to keep the fatty next to me out of my seat.

It is more of the nickle and diming mentality at LSU.

That is as stupid a point as I have seen in a good while. The seatbacks are offered as a third party CHOICE. If you dont want one then dont order it.

I worked with the group that was hired to put the seats in for the third party a few years ago. It is amazing how some people think it is some kind of recognition or reward or better yet an entitlement. They charge $40 per seat per year.
That covers the cost of buying the seat, installing it on your spot, uninstalling it, shipping it to storage, cleaning them, and providing customer service.

If you want a cooshy comfy seat instead of a hard arse bleacher and dont want to carry around a personal chairback then rent one (available only to season tickets by the way). LSU still allows you to bring your own.

Oh, if you think it looks ridiculous then take a look on TV at all the other major CFB stadiums in the country. They are in most all of them.

I guess the people who have 12 seats on their account(and give them to their douche friends or sell them to opponents) don't want to pay for all the seat backs...

Frankly I would just prefer them to charge me the extra $40 or $50 per year and put in permanent seats.
