At first I was going to reply that I cannot believe how idiotic so many of the threads being started on here are lately.

Literally no one with a sliver of brain thinks we are good at qb.

Then I realized this place is just becoming filled with more garbage clikbait content like everywhere else online now.

Congratulations, I clicked your stupid thread. Hamsters and bots cha ching!

No such thing as a sure thing but I think Lane can get someone closer. Why take the chance that MVB is?

You're ok going into a new year with one scholarship QB? Pass whatever it is you’re smoking.

Nuss is horrible? How is Nuss horrible? He's injured. Are you saying he plays horrible when he's hurt? Most people do
Did you think he was horrible last year? No? So he's just horrible this year? When he's hurt? Shocking

He's was definitely injured. Probably affected his decision making too.
Last year all we complained about was that he took a few chances and didn't run enough. No one called him horrible We supported him. I don't know why people think he just magically turned into a completely different quarterback. None of his throws look the same. Velocity, accuracy. He's never been a scrambler. And his job is also much harder when you get a pass rush from a team dropping 8, and you can't run the ball. He's never had great pocket awareness, but it wasn't as noticeable last year because he got a lot better protection and made more plays.

"There’s no question. He’s injured. To what extent, only a few really know. But he’s not making the throws he made a year ago, and his accuracy has varied. He’s always going to take some chances, it’s who he is, but you can tell something is not right physically with him. No one ever questioned his arm strength, but the ball is just flat on him, and he’s short or inaccurate with some throws. No question, his injury has affected his play."

Nuss had more passing yards in one game than V B has total in an LSU uniform.

And yet I watched Nuss play this season.

He was terrible. In every game. Very bad decision making, very bad mechanics, very bad awareness—things that have nothing to do with any potential underlying injury.

If VB equals Nuss performance in the Bowl game as either of Nuss' performance in Bowls. That includes the SEC Championship game vs Georgia, the best Defense in the NCAA at that time.

You seem to believe two things that are not true: (1) that I said Nuss and VB are equally terrible. They aren’t equally terrible, but they ARE both terrible and (2) that anything Nuss did in meaningless games two years ago impact my first point

His awful performance. I don’t care that he was injured. I don’t care about his pro career at all. I care about LSU. He was absolutely and unequivocally horrible as LSU’s quarterback this year.

He made game losing mistakes when it mattered.

He put up good numbers but the only he played well when the game was on the line was 2024 Ole Miss

UP VOTE FROM ME. out of Van Buran, Hurley, and jujuan Johnson we should be able to get one good QB. Wouldn't hurt to get another QB though to compete though if those guys just cant cut it.

Dont know, but arent all 3 of those guys on scholarship? People up in here saying only1 scholarship QB on roster

I think we need some more QB's one of which would likely beat out MVB. MVB can compete for the job, competition is always a good thing. As far as how good MVB can be with proper coaching? I don't know the answer to that. I will say this. If Lane Kiffin can make Blake Sims a ALL-SEC QB then he can turn anyone into a good QB.

Yep because MVB was so accurate this season and had such great pocket presence Wow, no words for you and the OP

Wow. Not defending MVB, just knowing that LK is gonna handle it regardless of the hand wringing by the ranter “experts.”

Don't be comfortable with what you have just because it's yours. That leads to an underachieving and complacent life. That's good life advice for you baw
