Why do some Tiger fans want Lane Kiffin to be our head coach?

He is currently 2-2 against LSU as a head coach, and he has yet to win a championship of any kind at the Power 5 level. Not even an SEC West crown.
His offenses are good, but his defenses are awful. At least Bryan Kelly’s teams have good defenses most of the time even though 2023 was really bad.
I just don’t get it. I would rather have an adult in charge who’s a proven winner.

I personally think Kiffin is the best coach in college football. I would say higher risk, higher reward than BK. He’s got 30 years of experience and he’s under 50. He’s the rare, rare mix of technician and recruiter. He can also effectively manage a program in the NIL/transfer portal area which might be the most important factor in today's game. Wouldn't go out of my way to trade BK for Lane, but if it happened I think it woudln't be a bad thing.

LSU fans would clearly all agree Lsu is a far superior program to ole miss
Ole miss under kiffin would have made the 12 team playoff 2/3 years
So, considering lsu is far superior to ole miss as a program, seems logical to benefit kiffin at lsu would be easily a constant in the top 5

While not impressive to dumb LSU fans, the fact that he is winning at the rate he is at such a shite program as Ole Miss, makes the idea of what he could do at LSU intriguing

Some people, and I mainly speak of the mentally challenged ones, better connect with cartoon characters than with a more cerebral professional. The same ones that would take Kiffin over CBK are the ones that loved CLM and CEO. It’s nice to have a coach that doesn’t require subtitles at his pressers.

I think he’s a good coach. Do I want him over BK right now?… of course not.
But if LSU had an opening, we’d be stupid not to have him on the short list of candidates.

Kiffin is a great coach and is ascending. He's a great program builder and puts an exciting product out
